In recent years he has been writing on terrorism, guerrilla warfare, and special operations. Important to read -- more specific information about Pakistan/India/Iran/Iraq and what our intervention did, is doing and has done to further de-stabilize and build enemies for centuries to come. A compilation of essays by military leaders -- but not a diatribe about the Bush presidency and avoids the trap either/or for staying or leaving Iraq.
Really disappointing. IDF was such a superb book to follow it up with this simpering drivel was a tremendous let down. Beyond Shock and Awe is filled with one world apologies seemingly to appease european college students. A real piece of shit.
An important book to read to understand America's current and future wars. The importance of "winning hearts and minds". A look at America's army of the future. Cultural knnowledge is the key.
A series of essays on the current state of American warfare. Most are interesting although a couple stray - and in one case markedly - from the title/thesis.
