A Book of Wonders: Daily Reflections for Awakened Living
Does it sometimes seem that the wisdom of the ages is aged? The Templeton Foundation recently awarded the University of Chicago nearly three million dollars to orchestrate research that answers this Is there a new viewing of wisdom for the twenty-first century, or is there really nothing new under the sun? Pulling from an eclectic array of "sage instructors," best-selling author Edward Hays articulates 366 daily wonderments through such sources as Sherlock Holmes, Taoist teachers, and Mickey Mouse. Peculiar and poignant in equal amounts, this book of daily reflections is Ed Hays unplugged and spurs us to find delight and wonder in the ordinary.

Wonderful daily reading book that I read (daily) in 2015. Full of love and humor and wisdom, Hays provides a challenging and unique thought for at least 360 of the 365 days assigned to him by his publisher.
I'd put this amongst the best books I have read and will repeat reading it sometime. Here's a quote from today's (12/31) reading:
To live with the delight of one wonder after another requires constant vigilance. Guard yourself against creeping sophistication, that "know-it-all" superiority that is incapable of surprise and childish awe. The mystic fruit of being surprised by the amazing and the wondrous is a happiness not found in wealth or fame. So, at the magical midnight hour make this wish, "May I have a happy New Year filled with wonders."
