Philis thinks his luck may have finally run out when he's captured in East Berlin.

But given the task of taking a Catholic bishop across the Berlin Wall, he sets on what should be a straight-forward mission.

What the Home Office neglect to tell him is that the bishop harbours a Nazi past, and that $50 million of gold lies in a secret location, looted by the Germans from Mussolini's treasury.

Philis's plan to use the gold as peacemaker where detente has failed is complicated by the presence of a beautiful urban guerrilla, who can't decide whether to kill him or make love to him ... or both.

Will Philis be able to complete his mission to smuggle the bishop across the Wall?

Or will he fall victim to the Catholic's dubious past, and become himself the Bishop's Pawn?

A long lost friend who’s books I had read before

Richie Perry ‘s Philis secret agent is a forgotten gem I read many years ago and utterly enjoyed. Not a super spy like Bond, he’s human and not everything goes as plan. You can’t help but be entertained from beginning to the end of the story. Highly recommended.
