This book starts out with the basics, which is the color wheel and what primary, secondary, complementary, etc, colors are. It explains how to mix red, yellow, and blue properly in order to create other colors (secondary). It also talks about warm and cool colors as well as value to help one shade to help make objects appear more realistic. It simply talks about the use of color and how it is all around us. It mentions how color as meaning, balance, and how certain colors make you feel. It talks about different ways to paint that are unique and exciting that will help artists create things in a new way. I love this book and how they teach color to young artists in the making.
