Growing up Christian but spending quite a bit of time in the past few years learning more about and immersing myself into Judaism, obvious questions arise. Did the writers of the NT have an agenda? Why are there no other early centuries (CE) extra-NT writings about Jesus? Why is so much OT scripture taken out of context and inserted into the NT? The book "Two Witnesses" attempts to systematically answer many of these questions. It reads more like a reference book than a story.
I would recommend to anyone who is eager to understand the bridge that does / doesn't exist between the OT scripture and the NT writings.
