“Box of Horrors” is a fast-paced, unsettling YA thriller that taps into modern fears around anonymity, peer pressure, and how quickly things can spiral out of control. The story centers on a mysterious box that appears at a school, filled with disturbing challenges that students are dared or manipulated into completing. What starts as curiosity quickly turns into something much darker.

The concept is strong and timely, and the book does a great job of creating tension in a short amount of time. The chapters are brief, the pacing is quick, and the atmosphere is consistently uneasy. It’s easy to keep turning the pages, wanting to know how far things will go and who will be affected next.

However, the book didn’t fully work for me. The characters felt underdeveloped, making it harder to connect emotionally with what was happening to them. Some plot points resolve too quickly, and I wish there had been more depth given to the consequences of the choices made. The story delivers shock, but not always impact.

Overall, “Box of Horrors” is a solid, creepy read with a compelling premise, but it lacks the depth to make it truly memorable.

I read fright night but couldn’t find it on here alone. But I’ve also read the other two and reviewed them separately. So this is the review for fright night. All I have to say is if you like haunted trails you should enjoy this book. But it’s not just that it’s another story mixed in and how it all came together that night, fright night. It was a great quick read. I find shorter books harder to review because I don’t want to say too much to give anything away. But this definitely has page turner suspense. MSBP abuse. ( just in case that’s a trigger for you) secrets a relationship of brotherhood wrecked and people all trying to pick up what’s left of their lives, after fright night.

*****Trigger Warning*****
Children Abuse, torture, forced affection, mental illness

This book was my surprise book of January! Of course I will find irony in it as one of the main characters is a victim of Munchausen Syndrome and one of the most famous victims of this syndrome or should I say most well known Miss Gypsy Rose was released from prison less than a month ago. I was able to read this book in less than two hours! It was captivating and once it was over I sat there buffering for a good ten minutes just processing it. It holds crushes, mysteries, murder, and more.
