WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL AMERICANS

Rate this book
If America were a [classroom student] living the [Pledge of Allegiance], what would some of the items on her report card reveal and communicate about her overall performance? If anything, is she “at least” keeping her [pledge] and [promise] to all [American citizens] and extended [world family] to an “appreciable” degree? Let us take a review of some major, earth shaking, items on that theoretical report card, after nearly 300 years of government and individual citizen Removal of Native (Indigenous) people from their land and transportation and enslavement of millions of African people forced from their land, a Civil War against itself, involvement in two World Wars…with two atomic bombs dropped on innocent Japanese civilians, invasion of Korea and Vietnam, continuous long-term occupation of England, Germany, Japan, Korea, Italy, etc.…military invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan, election of an “openly racist” president who promised to build a southern wall to keep [them] out…and perpetuated divisive strife among citizens for more than four years, the visual and senseless killing of George Floyd by a police officer (while other responding officers watched) that sparked massive national and world-wide street protests, an unprecedented insurrection triggered by the sitting president at the United States of America Capitol by [thousands of American insurrectionists and millions of supporters] attempting to overturn a legitimate presidential election, because they [did not like the state and national certified results], and the suppression by one party to try to prevent the true facts of the insurrection from becoming public. What do you think the grade on her progress should be on the report card? Based upon the [verifiable evidence], would you say, please be honest, that America is keeping the pledge’s promise to [all] her citizens…and world family?Yet, for generations, the federal government and state/local education systems have required young students to stand, face the U.S. flag with their right hands over their hearts, and repeat in unison the "[I] pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." For all the good [it seems “not” to have done] in changing individual behavior…what do WE the People hope to accomplish by continuing to indoctrinate America’s “human seed corn” in this fashion? WHY, do “We The People” continue to do it?
