He’s been a bad guy, a good guy, and everything in-between. But he’s never been more than human…until now.
After surviving the battle of Shaker Town, Keo has gone through a transformation and become the very thing he despises and has fought against for years. And there is no way back. Or is there?
The future is bleak but Keo won’t make his friends and loved ones suffer for his unfortunate circumstance. While Black Tide searches for him, Keo has disappeared into the wilds of an America still struggling in the new post-Purge world.
On a quest to discover a way back to Lara, Keo crosses paths with a pack of ghouls that, like him, has evolved into something more. And something much, much more deadly.
But while the line between human and ghoul has become muddled, one thing remains true: Stay alive at all costs.
An interesting twist in the Road to Babylon series
After years of fighting a well known enemy Keo faces off against an entirely new kind of danger. One that makes as little sense as what’s happened to him. And if he can’t figure out them, and himself, in a hurry, he may not make it back to Lara and the baby.
OMG….. I started reading this book and it just flowed by so fast….. the end came up and I didn’t even see it coming!!!! Now I will have another long wait until the last one. Just I’ll just have to set back over again, book one here I come!!
I've enjoyed this series but we are 13 books in and still Keo is running around surviving impossible injuries. The twist in this one is good, but seriously actually finish a book with something achieved. I think I'm done with the series it's going nowhere at a rapid pace.

Have followed this series since the beginning of the Purge. Great character development. Waiting to see how this ends. Is Lara going to lose another man to the ghouls?
Keo trying to figure out what he. A few new characters to carry on the story of survivors after The Purge. Real good character development of the new characters and some new info about Keo. In looking forward to the next book. Enjoy
This book brings me back to what attracted me to these stories. Mr. Sisavath has regained my interest in telling me his story in a page turning, compelling way. In a new twist, Keo is back although it isn't the same Keo, or is it?
Please, please don't let Keo die. He deserves to be with Laura and Baby and Laura has lost so much, too! I am 71. Need my hero and heroine to be happy together. Please.
