This Eternal Earth: A Scriptural And Prophetic Biography

Rate this book
This Eternal Earth is the footstool of both the Father and his son, Jesus Christ. Contray to prevailing scientific, as well as popular religious publications, the fate of the planet earth is not eventual death and destruction, but immortality and eternal glory as the celestial site of the very throne of the Creator, Jesus Christ. As such, it is unique among all planets of this solar system. This volume is a carefully written and extensively documented study of the earth's orgin and destiny, and man's intimate involvement with it from begininng to end, as revealed in scripture and modern prophetic utterances. The book discusses a broad range of intriguing, though sometimes contraversial topics, earth's fall from immortality, the status of children who die before the age of accountability, the location of the dramatic return of the ten tribes, the city of Enoch, and how Christ's life and death affect the earth and the future of its inhabitants. It is a most fasinating and spiritually rewarding account which all Latter-day Saints will enjoy.

Very interesting ideas and lots of good, solid doctrine. Some of it, however, is speculative and dependent upon how scripture is interpreted. Certain things about the second coming of the Savior (and how it relates to the earth)are subject to opinion even amongst church leaders. Interesting, though.
I found the writing style unengaging at times, and not as readable as it could have been.
