The scene goes by at a steady pace and appropriately switches from darker moments to lighter moments in a very brilliant way. It’s a gripping read, and not because anything huge and dramatic is happening but because of the emotional tension and how Ruby interacts with the world and the people around her. Ruby Robinson has never been easy to be around but despite her complex personality readers will still fall in love and root for her.
