For many a major barrier is a God who appears inhospitable.
Well said and so true.
This book was written long before our current COVID 19 health crisis. The author, a pastor, had no idea that churches that were sorely in need of revitalization would be empty for the years 2020 and 2021. We now face an even more formidable task—how to draw Christians back to church and help feed their spiritual needs.
I am grateful to have read this book when I did. The author focuses on soul care and ways to bring vitality to worship and parish life.
He presents five major categories and gives suggestions and ideas for each.

Loving
Learning
Laughing
Leaving
The task ahead, for me, is to continue to pray and trust. The church will meet the needs of the seekers. I pray that I am ready for this moment.
