This book was very helpful to me, and I would highly recommend it for first-time parents and for single moms. The ideas shared in the book helped me find ways to deal with a lot of the thorny issues that crop up when raising children. I felt empowered after reading it, as if I were in more control. Looking at my daughter, who is now grown, I think it really helped. She has grown up to be a woman I both like and respect, and I think that’s what we parents want, isn’t it?
