About the author

Paul Charles William Davies AM is a British-born physicist, writer and broadcaster, currently a professor at Arizona State University as well as the Director of BEYOND: Center for Fundamental Concepts in Science. He has held previous academic appointments at the University of Cambridge, University of London, University of Newcastle upon Tyne, University of Adelaide and Macquarie University. His research interests are in the fields of cosmology, quantum field theory, and astrobiology. He has proposed that a one-way trip to Mars could be a viable option.

In 2005, he took up the chair of the SETI: Post-Detection Science and Technology Taskgroup of the International Academy of Astronautics.

Introducción, tanto histórica como física (y muy levemente matemática) a la Relatividad Especial y General. Paul Davies aún no había refinado su estilo completamente (o tal vez el traductor emborronaba un poco la fluidez de su escritura, no lo sé), pero no se lee tan bien como libros posteriores del mismo autor. En cualquier caso es interesantísimo y muy recomendable. Hay libros posteriores, si no con más física, sí con algo menos de aparataje para entenderlo todo mejor.

الكتاب بيشرح ازاي اتغير المفهوم العلمي للزمان والمكان مع العلم الحديث وبيشرح النظريات العلميه الي اتحطت وازاي اتطورت مع الوقت والعلماء الي اثروا وساهموا في التغير ده وشرح نظرية النسبيه وتأثيرها وميكانيكا الكم لما اتدخلت معاها ووضعوا تفسيرات مختلفه لبداية الكون
كل النظريات دي بطريقه مبسطه من أجل القاريء غير المتمرس في الفزياء هتساعده انه يكون خلفيه علميه محترمه ويبقي فاهم النظريات دي

This book is mind Bending. In the beginning one can start to get into it and find it a little confusing. But it is written in a lucid style with enough detail such that you do not feel cheated out of your efforts at all !! Recommended for sure.

amazing book
