Why did I buy so many essay collections in the eighties? In this, my read-what-you-own year, I ask myself this often. This is an uneven collection. Some of the essays still resonate, however.

It was funny once I got into it. She writes a la David Sedaris. I'm going to have to Google her to find out more about her.
