Frankly speaking, I nearly tossed this book onto the donation pile without reading it. Curiosity, however, got the better of me & decided to read it before donating it; I quickly found that my initial, leery skepticism was groundless. It turned out to be an enjoyable, entertaining read, with each chapter being a vignette, so to speak, akin to a mini-biography. Surprisingly good.
