Got this for Christmas from my sister, who always swaps odd stories or fun-facts with me-- so this book was perfect. Already read a few "chapters," and it's quite interesting. Definitely learning new things, and even things that I've questioned about in the past but never knew who to ask because it'd be too obscure.

Also, this is a decent book for me as a writer. In a novel I'm working on, I have a character who tends to ramble on about odd facts and such. He annoys the other characters, but finally one of his random fun-facts proves useful in the plot. So this book will hopefully provide a good database of interesting things I can choose from for this character to play with, haha!

I love that this book connects lived experiences to science in a way that is more accessible for students. Excited to have this in my classroom library, as students with different interests could quickly read any "chapter" that interests them!
