Three Dead Land Brides: A Dead Lands Fantasy Romance Collection

This is the paperback-only, special collected edition of three Dead Lands novellas, including "The Stoneheart Bride," which has never before been released in print. This special edition includes three maps (and a bonus map) and a new stepback exclusive to this edition. All ebook versions are available as individual titles. The Stoneheart Bride Flora doesn't know which is being abducted by ogres who intend to eat her, or being saved by the barbarian warrior who'd coldly rejected her hand in marriage. Brom the Stonehearted had crushed Flora's every hope of a future where she was valued for herself, and dreams of a life where she was more than her uncle's political pawn. But as they ride toward home, Flora discovers that a warrior raised in the barren wilds of the Dead Lands recognizes value far beyond power and gold-and that his particular kind of courtship could never be cold... Pretty Bride As keeper of a sacred oath, Aruk allows nothing to tempt him away from his duty. Not gold, not women, not power. So when the barbarian warrior is marooned in the middle of the ocean, his only thought is of escaping the island paradise and continuing his quest. Until a pretty princess washes up onto the beach. Spoiled and disobedient, Jalisa should have been easy to resist. But when Aruk discovers the secrets concealed by her beautiful smile, he'll have to decide between his duty and his heart... The Midnight Bride To save her family from a tyrant king, Mara of Aremond must win a tournament-and she won't let anyone stop her from claiming the prize. Especially not Strax, the barbarian warrior who has tormented her every step of the way. But when a sorcerer's trap binds them together, Mara must decide whether Strax is her greatest enemy, or if everything she seeks can only be found in the barbarian's arms... And don't miss the companion book to this special edition, The Midwinter Bride (ISBN 978-0989461139) - available now at your favorite bookstore.

Kati Wilde is a tight-lipped, loose-hipped woman of indeterminate age and low breeding. Born into a very large family, she now has a very small family (no laws were broken in this transition), and she writes romantic fiction to assuage her darker urge to write Transformers erotica. She lives in Oregon, so most of you are safely far enough away, and has two old cats.

Kati writes the Hellfire Riders MC romance series and will be publishing her first New Adult novel, Going Nowhere Fast, with Berkley later this year.

About Our Series:

The Motorcycle Clubs series is for romance readers who want all the heat and emotion, but who don’t have all of the time. At this time, we are only publishing novellas — our intention is to provide readers with short (yet satisfying) MC romances. Sometimes we might continue one couple’s story over several novellas, but each individual novella will have a satisfying romantic resolution. Because they are short, we focus the stories on the eroticism and romance, and will be building the MC worlds as each series progresses.

Three Dead Land Brides is a collection of three novellas set in the same world.

One novella is The Midnight Bride, which features Mara, maidan and Strax, barbarian warrior. The story starts in the middle of the action, six months into a gruelling quest. Mara needs to complete the quest to rescue her family and Strax is bound to make sure no one ever completes the quest.

The novella was pretty delightfully bonkers. It’s face paced and both characters are compelling. Strax’ adoration of Mara is just so great.

The next novella is Pretty Bride, which features Jalisa, a stunning princess and Aruk, barbarian warrior (and twin brother to Strax). When Aruk is stranded on a deserted island, he’s incredibly happy to see Jalisa arrive. They get to spend time together on the island, flirting and getting to know each other.

This novella wasn’t my fave, but overall still okay. It was very quick and I felt like we didn’t get to know either character a ton and I just wanted more. And the spicy scene was bonkers. (I mean, fun but crazy)

The final novelette is The Stoneheart Bride, which features Flora and Brom. Flora is captured by ogres and Brom arrives to rescue her. He seems very into her, but she’s extremely confused because he rejected her hand in marriage before her capture.

This novelette was very cute and I really enjoyed it. I wish it was a little longer, but I genuinely loved the miscommunication between the two that was solved immediately (because of how short it was! Give me all the easily solved angsty novelettes please.

Overall, this collection is great, I really enjoy the world that Kati Wilde has created. This has been a reread of the series for me second time through did not disappoint.

I have technically already read these this year individually, but I liked them so much that when I saw this omnibus in print on amazon I decided to get it so I could have a physical copy to flip through. I ended up getting sucked back in to reading all three again. They're so over the top ridiculous but I love these wife guys.

This one just wasn’t for me, so much so that I gave up after the second story. The writing had an odd old style fairytale vibe to it that I just couldn’t warm to. The first story felt like it started in the middle and the second had such an over the top ridiculous sex scene. I don’t need my fiction to be ‘real’ but this felt like the author was just seeing how far she could take it.

What I did like was the cover of the book, beautiful artwork.

Is this ridiculous? Absolutely it is. That’s never stopped me from enjoying a book before.
