Whole #3
New
Fifteen years after The Bigger Bang, Greta Salvador is a typical teenage girl into music, baking, and somewhat reluctantly, boys. But hanging with her best friend Blaine, working toward her goal of taking over the family business, and struggling to keep up at her new high school doesn’t leave a lot of time for finding love. And between her overprotective family and a medical condition that makes her what some would call high maintenance, she doesn’t think she stands a chance of anyone being interested in her anyway. That is until Flit Williams shows up.
Quiet, mysterious, and a possible anarchist, Flit is definitely not the type of guy that Greta’s big brother Luca will ever let near her, but when a man in a trench coat appears to deliver grave news about Greta’s future, Luca may not have a choice.
Can Greta and Luca work together to save themselves and even the world? Find out in this exciting conclusion to the Whole trilogy!

Disclaimer: I won this in a Goodreads giveaway in exchange for a fair and honest review. I only read this book in the series.
By only reading this book, I do feel like I missed out on some stuff that was glossed over. The subject matter of the other books also seems more my speed. I would recommend starting at the beginning.
I’m an insomniac mom who reads mostly in bed. This book was a little hard to read in some spots because people had the same fights over and over again. At least 3 times I had to make sure I hadn’t accidentally flipped back to another page.
I wished the story with Greta would have focused more on how she physically felt other than woozy. Hearing about her stripes made me want to know so much more about how she was different. As she gave away her power, I would have loved to know how her body changed and if her confidence changed with it. This is a comment I make a lot, but stuff happening to people isn’t a substitute for growth. I love a good character arc.
I liked Flit. He was the character that made the most sense and was the most relatable. I think his perspective would have been so fun to read. Luca and Greta were fine as a sibling pair, but they needed to find something in common and to do anything other than just fight. It came across as abusive by Luca, and it made me dislike him more.
It was really weird to me that these parents never told their kids about what they did. I understand confidentiality and the like, but having your kids understand where they came from is really important.
I think this book had incredible subject matter that was only cursory in its exploration. I would love to know more about Greta, her powers, the other people she gave it to, how they all change over time, etc. those would make for great books.

I won this book in a Goodreads Giveaway. Even though this is the 3rd book of the WHOLE series, it can easily be read as a standalone. I absolutely loved this story and the characters. The plot was great and kept you wanting to read more. The ending had a nice, smooth finish. No cliffhangers! Yay! Thank you so much for my copy!

Did Not Finish
December 11, 2023DNF @ 20% I received a copy of this ebook in a Goodreads giveaway. I found this to be a little dumb, I think someone could still enjoy if, but that someone is not me.

I loved this book as much as I loved the first two in the series! I hope this isn’t the end of reading about this family and these characters as I’m obsessed with all of them. This story added so much and brought in the elements of the first two books and was spicy and thrilling and heartfelt. So grateful to the author for offering this book for free when it released- I’d buy it in a second and absolutely recommend this series!

This is the last book of a trilogy, I did not read the first two but that wasn't necessary because everything is explained in the book.
The first chapters were a bit slow but the further the story progressed the more interesting it got.
I loved the way the five of them came together on each mission and how they all brought something to the team, reading that kind of unit is amazing.
I liked the book in general, I found it very interesting.
There was only one thing that I didn't like a lot and that's the fact Greta is 15 years old and she was about to have THAT with her boyfriend who is like 2 years older than her, nothing happened there but in those paragraphs I only thought “she's just a girl, this is not right”. But if we forget these paragraphs and focus on what happened right after ... It never crossed my mind that something like that would happen.
Anyway, this book is highly recommended if you want to read something fast and if you love sci-fi, and dystopian worlds.
I absolutely have to read the first two books because I need more.
Thank you so much, E.A. Rohler for provided me the ARC of this amazing book.
