About the author

C.G. Cooper

C. G. Cooper is the USA TODAY and AMAZON BESTSELLING author of the CORPS JUSTICE novels, several spinoffs and a growing number of stand-alone novels.

One of his novels, CHAIN OF COMMAND, won the 2020 James Webb Award presented by the Marine Heritage Foundation for its portrayal of the United States Marine Corps in fiction. Cooper doesn't chase awards, but this one was special.

Cooper grew up on a steady diet of Dungeons & Dragons and the travels of a Navy family.

Upon graduating from the University of Virginia with a degree in Foreign Affairs, Cooper was commissioned in the United States Marine Corps and went on to serve six years as an infantry officer. C. G. Cooper's final Marine duty station was in Nashville, Tennessee, where he fell in love with the laid-back lifestyle of Music City.

His first published novel, BACK TO WAR, came out of a desire to link back to his time in the Marine Corps. That novel, written as a side project, spawned many follow-on novels, several exciting spinoffs, and catapulted Cooper's career.

Cooper lives just south of Nashville with his wife, three children, and their German shorthaired pointer, Liberty, who's become a popular character in the Corps Justice novels.

Cooper does it again!

There are always things you must do. Like brush your teeth or walk your dog. Then there’s things you should do, if you could. Things like staying up half the night reading CG Cooper’s newest, The Algorithm. Cooper is the reason so many companies offer their employees a sick day. You’ll need one after realizing you’re almost done reading a book you couldn’t put down! Then, there are the “would-do’s.” These are the ones that know CG Cooper. They are the ones that would, should and could read this book in one day. People like me. Well, I didn’t. I relished it. I’ve learned to do that, as reading another story comes much later.

Is Cooper that good? What? Give me a break! Just read this one, will ya! And, if you haven’t read any others, he’s got some freebies you need to take advantage of to welcome you his world.

Well, get busy reading!

The Algorithm (Corps #20)
A five-star+ read from Carlos.
Cal rallies The Jefferson Group around one of Neil’s long-time friends.
After the murder of American politicians and their families, a US senator demands answers as well as vengeance. As far as he is concerned, there is no one to blame but Miles Manning, the charismatic leader of Blinker, the world’s most popular social media platform.

But the senator isn’t the only one chasing after Manning. Attacks are coming from all directions, even within his own company. Not knowing whom he can trust, Manning enlists the help of his long-time friend, Neil Patel, and the rest of the Jefferson Group to defend the company he built from the ground up. This favor quickly turns into a deadly hunt on the streets of Chicago.

Lurking in the shades, is Daniel Briggs. But how will his suffering impact his friends and their current adventure??
Another tightly woven, fast-moving, roller-coaster ride with Cal Stokes and Team!!

A look into social media & politics, along with the crime the combo attract.

Best Intentions are wonderful, if only there were not those set on destroying them for personal gain.
But the resulting struggles make for interesting tales & reading. Corps Justice always seems ready to enter the fray for Best Intentions success. The familar characters each have a story of their own to share as well.
Great reading if you are for The Good Guys.
If only Real Life was a bit more like this.

digital intrigue

Cal Stokes finds himself in the digital world of social media. How do you fight words on a screen?
The villian(s) are numerous, sending messages that cause misinformation to be disseminated that have negative effects on selected targets in the population.

The book is written with fast paced dialogue, each page showing what could happen to unsuspecting readers of the program.
Turn off the computer for a while and read a book. This book is a good one to read!

The Corps Justice is missing Daniel but they have a job to do helping one of Neil's friends who is the CEO of Blinker. Someone is sabotaging the algorithm and Neil is looking through lines and lines of code and Cal is walking around looking for anyone acting suspicious. After Cal is shot the whole team goes on alert and Daniel senses something is wrong and shows up in Chicago. Fast paced and action packed great reading

Great read!

I started reading this book and realized that I needed to read the previous book first. Daniel Briggs had something happen and was not his usual self. He is seeking answers and is not with the team. The team is helping a friend whose business is being attacked by the government and the general public. SSI is helping him to find answers. Their lives are in danger from an unknown source. Lots of twists and turns.

Algorithm: a procedure used for solving a problem or performing a computation. A fitting title for this novel. There is a political upheaval and Cal get shot but survives. The brotherhood comes together again and Daniel finds Sarge, the man who keeps Daniel’s beast in place, on the ground and who passes away in his arms.

Corps series

Loved the book. I have read the whole series and enjoyed every book. Daniel Briggs is the most interesting character as he goes through his struggles. However, each of the characters are wonderful in their own way. Each one adding depth and character to the book. Can't wait for the next book!

Algorithms can be dangerous to your health

Algorithms can be harmful to your longevity and mental health. Daniel deals with his Beast that surfaced in Costa Rica. Until a premonition takes him to assist The Jefferson Group, Cal, in particular.
It is scary how much codes can alter your mindset and behavior.
A must read.
Congratulations, Cooper!

Another Great Corp Justice

C. G. Cooper has again brought the Corp Justice Team together to help Miles Manning and Blinker. Cal and Neil start out helping Miles only to be brought into a fight they didn’t foresee. Top and Gaucho rush in and Daniel comes from Las Vegas. As usual, C. G. Cooper brings the twists and makes this a great story. Read it, I highly recommend it.

Startling close to reality

I love these characters. I want them in my corner always. This book is as fast paced as it is chilling. Great read. I can’t wait for the next adventure. Carlos Cooper is my favorite author. All of his series are worth the price of admission. I rated this book with 5 stars because that was as high as I could go.

Look, I have read all of C.G Cooper's books and love his style as a writer and storylines. This book, The Algorithm had me enthralled until the last few pages, when it seemed to come to an abrupt, quick end with bodies hanging from trees with no how, when or why? Maybe I missed something but all of a sudden Blinker is saved, the main culprit is killed off and I was left wanting.

Briggs comes out of hiding

Enjoyed reading about Briggs hidey hole, and how the Corps Justice team gets caught up in plot to disrupt normalcy in the world. Lots of bad things going on but truth, justice and the American Way prevails.

This was a good read, maybe not his best work, but ok. I didn’t find it be so that exciting that I had to keep reading. I am also not a fan of politics in general, although Zimmer is find as a friend of Cal’s. 4.8

Great read

I loved the story. The ending was just a little too abrupt this time. I have enjoyed everything he has written and this is no exception. Looking forward to the next installment.

How good was it. Got to 85% read at mid nite, said what the heck and finished at 1:45a. Then had to get up a 7:30a for my exercise class.
Glad I’d read the Daniel Briggs series after book 19. Really makes the rest of Justice series better. Glad to see two Matthew Series coming.
Keep them coming.

The wait has as always been well worth it. Sometimes the wait is better than the book but that is never the case with a C.G.Cooper book.
