This isn't just for the romantic, but I think this is the best "guidebook" for Chicago I've ever read. It has great suggestions for restaurants, bars, gardens, activities and events not to be missed. And it's not just the touristy stuff. It's written by a lifelong Chicagoan who really knows her way around the city and loves the little details. I've been reading it cover to cover.

It was outdated, but a nice stroll through times and places long gone. I liked it. Visiting my former life is something like sweet.
