This book is a counting book from 1 to three. The author uses animals making actions to count the numbers such as; Piglets marching as bagpipers or Bunny rabbits drawing as artists.
Great book to teach children to count. But thought the illustrations were a little confusing because too many items or actions occuring on one page. Such as for the number 3 which was the bunny rabbits drawing as artists, there are so many things just on that page: animals, drawing supplies, stools, paper, aprons, eisel. For younger children this book may be confusing because the author isn't clear of what is being counted.

Very simple, silly book, with bizarre characters ranging from one marching bagpiper to nine happy mail carriers (huh?). That said, we read this pretty much every day because Leo is very into the five funny sailors (a bunch of frogs in sailor suits) - they completely crack him up.
