As Jake and Liz are coping with a shared tragic loss, they find comfort in how much relief spending time in each other’s company brings.
When Jake asks Liz to join him for some ink therapy, she accepts, honored at the thought of the memory of someone special to them being a permanent piece of art on Jake.
Meanwhile Jake finds solace in spending time at Liz’s sisters house with the family he considers to be an extension of his own. He’s always had a bit of a thing for Liz if he's honest with himself, and is wondering if now is finally the right time, or if they are just two old friends who have a newfound perspective on how short and precious life really is.
Late night talks domino into more in person time together, and soon neither one of them can deny the spark that has progressed between them.
Hello! Please check CW's for this book, as well as the book that precedes it. 😊
Morgan kindly invited me to be a part of the ARC team for this book, the second in a series, in exchange for my honest review.
The first is titled YOU'RE MINE. They are different vibes and this book (I KNOW) is more closely aligned with romance for its HEA, whereas the first would be WF.
Okay, on to the review!
'"Do you need space or can I hold you?" he inquired. Every bit of his essence needed to help her, to wrap her up tight in his grip, keeping her safe from whatever it was that haunted her. She whispered behind choked tears, "You can hold me."'
<3 That beautiful quote captures the essence of this lovely story!
This book has:
-Brother's best friend (with a twist that lends depth to the narrative) -Protective energy -Bi rep -HEA -He's in a band! Tattoos! -Explorations of grief -Big cast of characters
Jake is the book boyfriend girls dream of: attentive, caring (and not just about Liz, but about the whole family-I really love that he cared about Katherine and Mia, too).
Liz was tough exterior, soft and broken on the inside. Jake pulled those parts out of her and made her feel safe. I know readers will resonate with Liz.
This is a fast read, but doesn't skimp on the emotions! I'm looking forward to the next in the series.

Tropes: 💎Brothers best friend 💎miscommunication 💎loss/grief/healing bond 💎HEA
Although this was a slow burn it heated up nicely and gave us just enough to keep wanting more😉. This was a fairly quick read for me and kept me engaged. I loved Jake & Liz, how their relationship blossomed throughout and how they were able to find healing within each-other after experiencing loss and grief. There was miscommunication but we do get a HEA in this book. Overall, I’d recommend it and would read it again.
This is book 2 in the Collins Siblings and I do suggest reading Adam & Mia’s story first ‘ You’re Mine’.
Spoilers for first book!! Please check triggers for this book😊
Morgan very kindly offered for me to be apart of the ARC team for this book. This is a sequel to her other novel ‘You’re Mine’ and there is another book to follow!
I was super excited to read this knowing that I would get a happy ending especially with how You’re Mine ended. I needed the HEA. This book follows Adam’s sister Liz and best friend Jake who find themselves consoling in each other after his death.
At first, they are just friends and the book starts by following Jake getting his tattoo in memory of Adam and Liz joining him. The tattoo does get mentioned later on and I feel that it was a perfect way to say goodbye to Adam.
Personally, I felt that Liz and Katherine’s (sister) relationship was well described with how Katherine treats her and had a good link to their past. I think that maybe Adam helped them get along better before which is why they’re both struggling to grieve now. Jake could even see that Katherine wasn’t treating Liz right and I’m glad it resolved in the end.
The spice was perfect! Oh my lord, I loved it. Chapter Thirty👀After Liz’s panic attack/CPTSD struggles, her and Jake finally do the deed and the way it was written is beautiful. Morgan, you did a wonderful job with these two!!
Overall, I loved Jake and Liz’s relationship. I think the grief bought them closer together in a good way and allowed their relationship to fully blossom. Just like the first book, it’s so easy to just delve in and love these characters as it’s such a simple read which I’m so fond of. And simple in a good way! It all makes sense and follows through with no confusing moments that don’t fit in at all. I’m so excited for Katherine’s book to come out later next year!

*Slow Burn *Brothers Best Friends *Family Tragedy *Healing after grief *Sister Squad *Overprotective friend
This is the second book in a standalone series but I highly suggest reading book one first. Not required but suggested. I had the opportunity to read and review an advanced copy of I Know by Morgan for my honest review of the book. And honest I shall give!
I really enjoyed reading this book. It was a quick read that I didn’t put down! It was full of highs and lows and surprises I didn’t see coming. I fell in love with Liz and her hard a$$ exterior and broken heart interior. Jake is an amazingly attentive, tender, caring, and overly protective friend. Jake makes a great book boyfriend! There was a lot going on in the book, but I felt like it had a good flow and provided enough detail to keep me engaged in everyone’s story.
**May contain spoilers past this point**
Liz and Jake faced the same tragedy and learned to lean on each other to cope. Liz lost her brother and Jake lost his best friend. While trying to heal from the loss of her brother she discovers that leaning on Jake might lead to more than just friendly feelings. Jake taught her that not all lovers are toxic. It was a slow slow burn but the wait was worth it. Jake is a man that aims to please inside and outside the bedroom! I was not disappointed and would recommend this quick read!
Even though this is the second in the series, it could still be read as a standalone.
So happy that there is a HEA as I really needed it after the first book. Even though this book is another Collins siblings story, you still get continuation from the first book.
Overall I loved it and can’t wait for Katherines story next!!

I enjoyed this book! There were many twists and turns in this book! It always kept me on my toes! I loved the chemistry between them as well! I can’t wait to see what the next one will entail! Thank you for letting me arc this! It was so good!
When all else fails exhale. My god what an amazing and beautiful piece about real life. Finding the pieces when life falls apart and making it into something beautiful.
