Dirty Dog: A Romance Novel Like No Other

Rate this book
Dirty Dog is a true story partly based on Von Mozar's life. Growing up, he always dreamt of becoming happy and fulfilled. At 20 years old, he read a self-help book that promised he would discover the source of his inner happiness if he changed one thing in his life. He didn't believe the book, so he didn't make the change.

However, one summer day, he was at an event in his local park and saw a beautiful girl standing in the crowd. His heart began pumping hard in his chest, and something just came over him, making him feel that this girl was destined to be his wife and become the source of his inner happiness. Before he could pluck up the courage to go over and talk to the girl, she disappeared into the crowd and left the park. He knew he had to find her.

So, from that day, for one year, he went to every party, rave, event, anywhere he could get to, hoping to see this girl again. As the year ended, he decided to give up his search and try and find someone else he could love.

Now aged 21 and celibate for over one year, he was at his most vulnerable when his player friend talked him into having a threesome. Two months after the threesome, he is in a club feeling depressed when the girl from the park suddenly walks past him.

He cannot believe his eyes. He runs after the girl, gives her his number, and hopes she calls. Four days later, he receives a phone call from the girl, and he believes this is the start of a lifelong romantic love relationship.

Two weeks after the fairytale start of their whirlwind romance, the girl invites him to her apartment. The moment he walks into her bedroom, she points at a picture and says, 'that person is my cousin, and she's also my best friend.'

He edges closer to get a better look and immediately feels the blood drain from his face. He can not believe it! He is looking at the girl whom he had the threesome with two months previously.

He could feel his eyes welling up with tears. Still, he couldn't make her see him cry. He had to decide if he should tell his future wife. The mother of his children. The essence of his inner happiness. About the threesome with her cousin, or does he keep the secret from her?

Von Mozar was raised on the Yardie gang-infested streets of Brixton, London.

In the 1990’s he was engulfed in acts of violence and death that debased and destroyed the minds of many who shared the same environment.

He escaped his destructive lifestyle by forcing himself to read, which in turn inspired him to write stories that people from his underprivileged background could engage with and relate to.

For two years, he self-studied creative writing. Then he went on to earn a Diploma in Literature and Creative Writing from The Open University.

Mozar began his writing career in 2002 and in 2004 completed his first novel, Ignorance Kills... He then followed up Sexfiend, Little Jamaica, and Mr. Bling.

Mozar sold over 10,000 paperback books independently in London until he temporarily paused the marketing and sales of his book to pursue a degree in Creative Writing at Kingston University. During his time there, he tutored a vulnerable inner-city youth to write and publish a creative memoir of gang life, Through My Eyes: The Spirit of a Prince.

Mozar graduated in July 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Creative Writing and a 1st Class Special Study in Narrative Techniques in Popular Fiction.

Since leaving university, Mozar has explored a different writing genre, Romantic Realism, which selectively recreates reality as it should or could be. This has led Mozar to develop a crime-thriller series, which is planned for publication in 2018.
