The Prez and The Lawyer
Joker is the Prez of the Wheel Mongers MC and is finding himself in the need of a lawyer. That’s when Shannon comes into the picture trying to make sure this client is not sent to prison. She knows it s not right but she attracted to the Prez of an MC and she knows secrets are being kept from her.
With this book being the second in the series this author hasn’t lost a beat with the twists and turns and chemistry she throws into her books. Now I can’t wait for the next book in this series to comes out.

Who wouldn’t love Joker? I think he could charm anyone. I love reading about Shannon & Joker! He’s found himself in some deep trouble this time. Can Shannon save him? This book was great and I’m ready for the next one!

3.75stars- JOKER’S OATH is the second instalment in Jean Marie’s contemporary adult WHEEL MONGERS MC erotic, MC romance series. This is club President Quentin Emilio ‘Joker’ Patterson, and attorney Shannon Armstrong’s story line. JOKER’S OATH can be read as a stand alone but for back story and cohesion, I recommend reading the series in order as Joker’s story begins in book one AXE’S HAVOC.
NOTE: If you have not read book one, there may be spoilers in my review..
Told from first person perspective (Shannon) JOKER’S OATH focuses on the legal defence of Wheel Mongers MC President Quentin Emilio ‘Joker’ Patterson. At the end of book one, Joker turned himself in for the shooting death of the Road Rage MC president Jackknife. Attorney Shannon Armstrong had been hired to defend our story line hero but from the outset Shannon suspected Joker wasn’t telling the entire story. As the trial progressed, bits of information filtered down, and our heroine began to amass a defence to free the man with whom she will fall in love. What ensues is the dense of Joker, the building romance and relationship between our leading couple, and the potential fall-out when the new president of the Road Rage MC pushes the boundaries between the warring MCs.
The relationship between Joker and Shannon begins when Shannon is hired as Joker’s attorney but threats of another nature have targeted Shannon behind the scenes. With information forwarded from a reluctant witness, Shannon is able to free the man with whom she will fall in love. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top sexually graphic language and text.
We are reintroduced to several members of the Wheel Mongers MC including Axe and Kim (Axe’s Havoc), Punchy and Squeaky, Cowboy, and meth dealer Dale Lott. The requisite evil has many faces.

Quentin Patterson "Joker", President of Mongers MC Club was charged with the murder of the president of the Road Rage MC Club and the attempted murder of their second in command Beamer. Joker turned himself in to protect his friends, but he was innocent as they had been ambushed by the two Road Rage members. It was kill or be killed type of situation. The Mongers hired Joker an attorney from Denver to come to Winona for his defense. The firm they hired sent Shannon Armstrong. When she arrived she had no idea what she had been put in the middle of, but she was a real fast learner. When she and Joker first met there was an intriguing attraction between them that soon grew into an undeniable chemistry. She was drew to his unflappable ability of staying clam under any circumstances. He enjoyed seeing her turn unfavorable situations around to look better for them in the courtroom. He felt like she could do magic in the courtroom. Would she get Joker off? Would the Mongers get Winona clean of the drugs and corruption? Would Shannon and Joker get together or would she return to Denver? Let the mysteries begin as you make your way through this edge of your chair story where law enforcement including the prosecution are all corrupt. They make things up on the fly as they go along just to make things interesting. Being a trial attorney, Shannon was a super strong independent woman taking no guff from any type of person including Joker so this line of you don't need to worry it's club business didn’t fly with her. She was either in or out take your pick. Joker never knew what hit him. Loved this story as Shannon was willing to give in some things, but not in any area of her expertise. If she and Joker were going to be together it would be a partnership all the way. They would have full communication. They were a pair but opposites in so many ways.

When Shannon got a call from her boss saying she needed to get to the small town and get the business man off of murder attempted murder and three other charges he said he sent the files.She finally meets her client Quinton Patterson/Joker he's the president of the wheel mongers m Shannon had an immediate attraction to Joker she had to get him off.There are so many twists and turns to this story you will be riveted until the very last page and leave you begging for more love the way this amazing author brings the characters to life before your eyes and you can feel their emotions an their pain.I can hardly wait to see what's next by this multi talented author. I voluntarily decided to review this advanced reader copy because its a great romance story and I wanted other avid readers to know its so worth reading.

I have to say that this is one of the best MC series that I have read so far.
Joker, is truly a joker; the way he switches from President, the Regular Guy to Beast is quick and seamless. Shannon is excellent at what she does...the courtroom is her kingdom and Joker will come to not only respect and appreciate her in the courtroom but he will see that Shannon is not nothing to play with.
The chemistry between these two is off the charts from the moment they set eyes on the each other...when they do get together..make sure you got enough bottle of water cause you will be dry when it is all said and done.
The drama in the club, between her and her boss, between Joker and her and the courtroom - will keep you vested and engaged. This book was unputdownable!!!.

Shannon comes to town for her boss who has assigned this case and now he tells her the client is innocent and she must get him off, she ignores him bug when she meets Joker she is very sure at what she finds but he talks like he is fine with whatever happens she reads between the lines and realizes that this man struck something in her and she believe his story. Shannon is very take with Joker, and he as well had very strong feelings for her and made it clear to her. Shannon is threatened when things seem to go Jones's way and then she gets a desperate call from her employer who threatens he job. There are authors who write smut and pass it off as romance, and there are authors who write GREAT stories that include enough slow-burn swoony romance to keep readers coming back for more! Author Jean Marie’s biker romances fall within the latter group. Her novels are compelling, complex, and action-packed. Her characters seem more like friends long before the story’s climax hits, and her injection of dual narration, humor, and realistic emotion kept me reading long after my light should have turned off. Getting to know Shannon and Joker was educational as well, but you’ll have to pick up your copy of JOKER’S OATH to find out for yourself. I strongly recommend that you purchase your copy of JOKER’S OATH, today! 😉

This is the second book in this incredible series, and this is Joker and Shannon’s story. Joker is the President of the Wheel Mongers MC, and when he hands himself over for a crime, he knows he is in deep trouble, Shannon is a lawyer who is assigned to Joker’s case per her boss. There is an instant spark when Joker and Shannon meet, but can he rely on her to keep him out of jail, and will she find out what Joker is holding back from her? This is a well written story which has secrets, truths, twists, undeniable chemistry, romance, emotions, passion, lies, drama, friendships, loyalty, and love, which leads to a thrilling page turner.

This is a great MC that will hold your attention from start to finish. As usual, this story also contains the necessary drama, action, danger, betrayal, not to mention the hot and steamy moments between Joker and Shannon. Shannon bails Joker out as his attorney, which isn't always easy as he can't help but be difficult at times. In short, this is a must read, especially if you like MC stories and tough bikers who will do anything for the woman they love.

Joker and Shannon kept me glued to this exciting story. She is assigned to Joker's case that will go to trial in days of her receiving it. When she meets Joker, he is a cool, confident alpha biker that knows his rights. Shannon has her job cut out because she has to get under his interior and to do that, she needs to get all the facts. Will she win the case and set Joker free?

Joker is sitting in jail for murder but it wasn’t murder it was self defense but with the cops being corrupted that might be tricky. Shannon has been given this case and has to get there before the arraignment. So she’s speeding from Denver to Winona and thinking she is going to represent a business man but what she finds is a bad ass biker. So enjoy the read and see how or if it works out for them!!

This book had potential, but author couldn’t keep her storyline straight. The h’s backstory was one thing at the beginning and something else at the end. There were other similar mistakes and it finally became too much

jerker oath: opposite worlds attract biker
