I’m in more trouble than I’d originally thought... My life is in danger and this stranger named Axe is offering me protection.
The only catch? I would have to completely change my identity and pretend to be his...
Road Rage MC is after my life. I hate my brother for putting me in this position, and I can’t believe that I’m having to pay for his wrongdoings.
Axe looks like a Greek God and his chiseled body momentarily makes me forget that his kisses are just for show. He holds me like my life depends on it. Honestly, it does.
I couldn’t leave his side if I wanted to. Pretending to be his woman is getting easier by the day. But our problems seem to be getting bigger by the moment.
Now there’s a bounty on me. It’s no longer about the money. It’s about revenge. Would Axe be able to shield me from the madness and keep me from ending up dead?
NOTE : Axe’s Havoc is the first book in the Wheel Mongers MC Romance series. Mature readers only because this Steamy Suspense series might make you blush. Alpha Men have to stay on their toes with these Feisty Females, so you’re in for a wild ride. Each book has a standalone storyline, though it is recommended to read the series in order for maximum pleasure.
Axe and Kim: TRIGGERS: drug abuse, kidnapping, corrupt police etc. So I saw an ad for the second book to this series on Facebook and I wanted to start from the beginning. I'm not sure I will continue after reading this. It was very poorly written. It started off with a bang with a lot of action but from then on it went kind of down hill for me. So Kim gets a call to help her brother, where she finds out he's in trouble with an MC and needs her to get him out. She's not happy and is both not able and not willing to help. She makes a run for it and collides with Axe. After accusing him of being with the same club, he takes off with her. So here's my issue... While it's mentioned that she knows that bikers are "bad" but she has to be explained to throughout the story that she's not safe and cannot go home. This is where the author lost me because nobody is that dumb. The book became a book of 50 million questions at this point. Most of them all the same questions. Just when you thought she finally got it, she does and does something stupid. This wasn't really a fake relationship book because there was only one time where Axe said she was with him. But never walked in saying this was his old lady. There's no romance just since hot sex and then at the end boom HEA... SO... I was like what just happened here. The MC portion of the story was interesting but the entire book I think needs to be cleaned up. A lot.
3.75stars—AXE’S HAVOC is the first instalment in Jean Marie’s contemporary adult WHEEL MONGERS MC erotic, MC romance series. This is Benjamin ‘Axe’ Hobbs, and Kimberly Hall’s story line.
Told from first person perspective (Kimberly) AXE’S HAVOC follows in the wake of our heroine caught between a potential MC war. A call from her delinquent and drug addicted brother Jason finds Kimberly Hall facing down several members of the Road Rage MC. Jason Hall owes money to the Road Rage MC and our heroine is payment for a debt. Fighting for her life, Kim is ‘kidnapped’ aka rescued by a member of the Wheel Mongers MC, a rescue that will place a target on our story line hero. Hoping to protect the woman he will eventually claim as his own, Axe and the Wheel Mongers MC put together a plan to take down the Road Rage MC. What ensues is the building relationship between Axe and Kim, and the potential fall-out as our heroine refuses to sit back and wait for the Wheel Mongers MC to get things done.
Kimberly Hall has no idea about the MC lifestyle but she is about to get a crash course into the who, what and why . In hiding, in disguise with the Wheel Mongers MC Kim finds herself falling for the man who had saved her life but all is not well within the Wheel Mongers MC-a mole is suspected, and every move is countered by the Road Rage MC.
The relationship between Kim and Axe begins as a rescue; a fake relationship needed to protect our story line heroine but fake quickly turns real, and Axe is desperate to protect the woman with whom he will fall in love in the face of her refusing to remain behind and stay out of trouble. The $ex scenes are intimate and intense without the use of over the top sexually graphic language and text.
There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including Zipper, Cowboy, Nuts, Kim’s brother Jason, Red Spades Zerk. We are introduced to Squeaky and Punchy, and club president Joker, whose story is next.
AXE’S HAVOC is a story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, family and friendships. The fast paced premise is entertaining, engaging and interesting; the romance is provocative; the characters are feisty and determined
Outstanding romantic suspense as Axe rescued Kim Hall from her dramatic fight with Road Rage MC President Jackknife and his side kick Beemer. Jackknife had wanted her to pay her brother, Jason's meth debt of thirty thousand. She managed to escape out the backdoor into Axe's arms a member of the Wheel Mongers MC. They did not deal in drugs or get along with any of the Road Rage MC. As soon as Kim settled down, her instincts told her she was safe with Ace. His MC had been trying to locate Road Rage's new Head Quarters and where they were making the meth, but they had not had any luck locating either one. Also, they knew there was a mole inside their organization, but so far they had not been able to out the ferret culprit. As result of Axe bringing Kim into the club, she was predominately his responsibility which was not a problem for them as they enjoyed a healthy if sometimes confusing attraction to each. There was plenty of action as the Wheel Mongers work toward righting these wrongs. This book will be part of a series but can be read as a standalone as it has been set up to lead into the next book.

I used to think that the authors that gave us several pages of "definitions" for MC words were doing just a little too much, and then I made the mistake of reading this. Every conversation that the FMC, Kim/Carrie, had with the MMC, Axe, was just an explanation for what he was saying and/or her asking multiple questions about why she cannot just do whatever she wants while she's a fugitive from the police and has an active bounty from the rival MC.
The dialogue was painfully immature and lacked all depth. The characters were both so irritating that I caught myself skipping conversations only to drag myself back and at least give them a scan. For a 200 page book, it felt like 400 pages (derogatively) and yet nothing happened without Kim/Carrie whining about how she knows nothing and just wants to live her life (and also fuck Axe.)
There was absolutely no relationship building. There was lust (no sexual chemistry, this read like a bad porn script with less fucking) and that was it. I regret the 2 hours I spent on this.
I have to say that this book got under my skin....in a very very good way.
Axe from the moment he appeared on the page was a force to be reckoned with. He not only was big in statue but he was huge in knowledge and his protectiveness for his MC and then Kim. Now Kim had to grow on me and I am still not sure I really like her. Kim is a little too in her head about how things work and should work when it comes to her. Through out the entire book, I kept asking myself, why is putting up with her shenanigans and then it came to me - he loves her...from the moment she ran in to him from the diner..he has loved her.
Even when Axe has proven to her that she is safe and her best move was to do as he says, she is still gung ho about what is happening without realizing her world no longer exist. In the end she comes to terms with the MC life and finds her place among her new family - Wheel Mongers.

This was a quick MC book that was full of action and drama revolving around the Wheel Mongers MC and their rival the Road Rage MC. Kim’s brother was in deep trouble with the Road Road MC and the MC wanted Kim to pay for her brother’s debts. Kim was no push over and at the same time didn’t know how much trouble she could actually be in with defying this MC. After taking on the Prez of the Road Rage with his own weapon things spiraled out of control for her until Axe, who is a member of the Wheel Mongers, came to her rescue taking her out of this situation right away.
Axe and Kim had a slow burn connection and the drama between the two clubs was intense. There were surprises and twists and turns in this book that made it a one-sit read for me. I look forward for more books in the Wheel Mongers MC series especially with the lead in to Joker’s book.
Where do I even start? To begin with the lead female, Kim/Carrie, is dumb as nails. She cannot grasp why she has to stay with the guys from the good MC because the bad MC guys go around r@9ing and killing anyone who gets in their way. I think the need for protection is kinda beyond obvious for anyone with two brain cells. All she does is argue with the hero and acts like she’s tough enough to handle this. Newsflash - she isn’t and she does stupid stuff that endangers everyone because she thinks she knows better. By the end of the book I was hoping she’d get killed off. I cannot figure out why Axe liked her beyond her looks. The steam is barely present and is boring. By the end of the book I was just skimming. I have this two stars because I liked the opening parts….and then it crashed and burned. Hard pass.
This is a great story of bad boy helps out smart mouth girl. When Kim gets a call from her brother, she does what any sister would do, and goes to help him, only to find out he’s in really deep with a dangerous MC for drugs. The MC wants Kim to pay up for her brother, but she declines and chaos runs amuck. When Axe’s bike breaks down he walks to a lonely gas station just in time to help keep Kim alive. They aren’t into each other, but works up to it the longer they stay together. The Wheel Mongers MC help her because they are all after the same MC club, who is bring in meth and trying to take over their territory. They save the day and Kim and Axe finally admit that they have feelings for each other and plan their future together.
Having received a phone call from her brother asking for help, Kim reluctantly goes to help him, only to find out he owes The Road Rage MC a lot of money they do not have and has now put both their lives in danger. After fighting to escape she runs into someone who will save her – Axe, a member of a rival MC called Wheel Mongers. Axe may have developed a big old crush on Kim when he watched her take down The Road Rage MC guy with his weapon.
This was an amazing read, fun and interactive, even if I dislike the brother, Kim and Axe's relationship during this book was a slow burn as a lot was going on!.

Axe's Havoc is a Single Point of View by the Female Main Character Kim. I gave this book 3 stars because I felt like in some areas things where skipped over at the end and started to fill like it was rushed without explanation on the actual relationship between Kim and Axe. I only felt like there was a few conversations between the main characters and the author left the Kim's character in her head more than giving actual living the moments between the characters. If there could of been more actually talking between the characters like a few places I believe this could of been a 5 stars. This author has the protentional to make it happen for me if I could get more interaction between the two characters.
This being said I plan on reading book two because the storyline is intriguing. I wish this was Dual Points of View because I think that could of made all the difference in how I viewed this story.
This is the first book I read by this author, and it won’t be the last! The characters were well developed and the story was fast paced, action packed, and intriguing. Kim finds herself in a heap of trouble trying to come to her delinquent brother’s aid. She tangles with a bad MC that wants their drug money from her because her brother owes them. So she does what any good sister would do and defends her brother causing one member to get injured and then flees, but then gets captured by a random guy that says he is trying to help her. Axe knows the Road Rage is bad news because he has tangled with them before. He wants to help the naïve Kim but her loud, smart mouth constantly gets her in trouble. Can Axe and the Wheel Mongers keep Kim safe?
This was a great MC story. You are captivated by the story from start to finish. There's plenty of drama, action, betrayal, but also plenty of hot and steamy scenes. Kim and Axe meet when she is thrown to the lions at the hands of her brother and she must fight for her life as she now has a bounty on her head for injuring the leader of the Road Rage MC. The chemistry and attraction between Ax and Kim is clearly palpable and she is happy with the help Ax gives her. Wheel Mongers MC is a great start to a new series by Jean Marie and I hope the next book is as exciting as this one.

A decent story allows me to immerse myself in the characters and plot and I find I can't out it down. This didn't happen with this story. I couldn't feel any chemistry between the two main characters at all. I also didn't like Kim's character at all. Her introduction to an MC is fairly brutal, yet she knows better than them and acts accordingly - this is so ridiculous and not true to life.
I believe the fault lies with the writing. There is no passion or skill in the use of words either in descriptive form or dialogue. I won't be reading the next in the series.
I really wanted to like this book, but it was all over the place. The FMC Kim was a smart mouth, ass whooping bad ass. But I just couldn’t like her, she literally didn’t listen to anyone and kept getting into something she shouldn’t have. Axe was apart of this “motorcycle club”, and he was so whimpy. Maybe I am used to MC books that follow the rules of the world we live in, this MC was like a bunch of high schoolers trying to find themselves. I really hate writing this review because I wanted to like this series so much, but it wasn’t worth it. I finished the book because I was hoping it would turn around and get better and it just wasn’t there for me.
How soon before the line between pretend & real is crossed?
Worth more than 5 stars. If you love MC romance that has action, suspense, enemies to lovers, an alpha hero & a scrappy take no crap heroine then Jean Marie definitely has you covered with Axe & Kim's story. The dynamic between the main characters + the other characters is what made this book such a great read that I couldn't put it down until I had finished. This is an awesome start to a new series & I can't wait to read the next book.

Kim goes to meet her brother to bail him out of another situation and finds herself in the middle of a crisis. Axe ends up saving her and then helps her get away. This book starts of with a bang and takes off from there. Tons of action and it finally ends up getting steamy. Axe is a good guy trying to help out and Kim is strong willed and stands on her own feet. Good start to an MC series but it could be a little darker and grittier for my tastes.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. Kim and Axe go on a dangerous ride together with plenty of roadblocks and obstacles in their path. I thought that the first book in the series led with plenty of rivalry, danger, betrayal, denial, frustration, chemistry, tension, passion and love. While dealing in the realm of outlaw MCs, it isn't as dark as I expected it to be even with with conflict from the beginning. Kim is in a bad situation and Axe is trying to keep her safe. I liked that the characters fit well together
This is the first in a new series, and this is Axe and Kim’s story. When Kim’s brother Jason, puts her life in danger by his actions, she runs straight into Axe, and he helps to hide her. Will Axe and his MC be able to keep Kim protected and safe? This is a well written story which has danger, suspense, intrigue, family, twists, emotions, loyalty, and love, which leads to a thrilling and addictive page turner. This is the most adolescent storyline that I've come across in a while. The female is hiding out from a motorcycle gang due to her brother nonsense. That's believable a crack head will do anything for a hit or get out of trouble. But she lives in the land of why are they after me, I'm respectable, I don't understand why my life is in danger. Oh let me ask a bunch of dumb questions and say I don't understand. I just couldn't finish this book, when she knowingly got caught. Just AWFUL. Don't waste your time!!!
This is a new author and new series. Jean Mare pulls you into the story of Axe and Kim right from the beginning and keeps you on the edge through the entire book. Lots of interesting characters, suspense and some heat. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Kim has come to help out her brother Jason but what she walks into is big trouble. A MC Road Rage pressuring Jason for money he owes them. But things go really wrong and Kim is running out when she runs right into Axe he gets her out but she not to sure if she went from the frying pan to the fire. But Axe and his club are going to protect her and clear her name. So enjoy a good read!!
I am so sick of stupid heroines who intentionally put themselves in danger when they know how dangerous things are for them.
This one thinks she is so smart and can take care of herself, and purposely does what she has been told not to. She thinks she knows better than everyone else.
The FMC turned me off in this book. I had a hard time connecting with her, and therefore it made the whole story suck. I was actually footing for her to get hurt.
The heroine in this story was totally unrealistic. She was also a pain in the butt!!! I liked the story but thought it could have been more complex and showed different prospectives. I love a strong female part but home girl was too unrealistic for me she. She also was a out of touch she took a man’s eye that was the head of motorcycle gang and didn’t think she was in any trouble… really girl! Other than her I like it and read to the end…
Kim & Axel get thrown together by chance. Kim is full of sass while Axel is deep. The attraction is there but it wasn't really felt bone deep. Interesting characters as we dive into the MC world where rivals clash.

Kim's brother gets in trouble and the mc want her to pause, lucky for her Axe comes for the save and the Wheel Mongers MC are after the same guys can they work together and become something more? Well written stey slow burn MC romance.

Axe's Havoc is fast paced with all the right characters, terminology and details needed for a good MC romance. The problem is that it is just too formulaic. I liked Kim and Axe enough that I was interested to get to their HEA. And although it was a decent story, I like more grit, heat and darkness that goes with an outlaw club.
Kim finds herself in the middle of trying to bail her brother out of a bad situation and being accused of a crime she didn’t commit. On the run, she is rescued by a rival biker club. Love the chemistry between Axe and Kim. The attraction is explosive. This is going to be a good series.

A well written perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start. I loved the way Axe got in there to protect Kim and keep her safe. Motorcycle gangs trying to keep peace and keep drugs and other bad stuff from their city with corrupted bad people in charge to deal with. A good start to this series.
