About the author

A.L. Bowker is the American author of the captivating Elyon Chronicles, making her debut in the end of 2022 with her first novel in the Christian fantasy book series; The Voice of Elyon.

For years, she dreamed of being an author, writing countless adventures and stories in her notebooks. Never being satisfied with only absorbing the stories she wrote, she started crafting the stories she wanted to read, exploring themes and topics she was interested in and wanted to see more of.

Having always been a creative and adventurous soul when she was younger, she participated in a co-ed high adventure program through the Boy Scouts of America and made life-long family friends, even meeting her husband through that journey. Her creative talents grew further with her acting in theatrical productions, such as her work in The Thorn, a production about the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.

Today, when not writing, she can be found quilting, volunteering at her church, or devouring a Francine Rivers novel. She currently lives deep in the mountains of Colorado with her husband and their family of pets.

I had the pleasure of meeting the author at a writers retreat last year. I'm happy to say it is a very well written and enjoyable fantasy story. The one hard part for me was that this is a fantasy world, and yet God, Jesus, the Bible, the apostles, all existed within this world of magic. Every time reference would be made to real aspects of my faith it would yank me out of the world of the story. Perhaps others would not have the same problem, but it often interrupted an otherwise excellent story.
