Piney Hill

Rate this book
Piney Hill is a small, rural community in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Georgia. It was a wonderful place to grow up.

In nineteen-sixty-eight, a little girl who lived in Piney Hill named Brownie kept a diary documenting a year’s worth of her life. There were eccentric local personalities, celebrations, and functions to record.

Then, of course, there is the night that the Landers’ Place burned to the ground. The fire at the Landers’ Place was arson, but who did it?

The events in its wake brought more danger to Brownie than she could ever have anticipated.

"A nostalgic mystery brimming with small-town charm and suspense." This captivating story transports you straight to Piney Hill in 1968, where everyday life is painted with warmth and authenticity—until danger strikes. Brownie’s diary entries bring the town’s quirky characters to life, but it’s the mystery of the Landers’ Place fire that keeps you turning pages late into the night. A touching blend of innocence, intrigue, and heart-pounding tension.

"Part coming-of-age, part gripping whodunit." The world of Piney Hill feels so real you can almost hear the crickets and smell the Georgia pines. When tragedy strikes, the story unfolds with a perfect balance of nostalgia and nail-biting suspense.

"An unforgettable slice of Southern life wrapped in mystery." With vivid characters, rich atmosphere, and a haunting central mystery, this is a tale that lingers long after the last page.
