Maggie's on the run, leaving behind a marriage gone badly, a dangerous ex-husband, and one of the most crime infested neighborhoods in Maine. She isn't looking to replace any of it, until she runs into Matt Dillon. A prime example of an alpha male, he's big and tough with an attitude to match. The only problem is he's determined to ignore the instant attraction between them.
Matt's running away, too. He's hoping a new beginning in a small town will help him get on with his life without the woman he loves. What he hadn't counted on was meeting someone like Maggie Myers. He knows as soon as he runs into the curvaceous redhead that she's nothing but trouble, and she proves it time and time again. Trying to ignore her is impossible, and before long passion explodes between them, sealing their fate.

Coming soon! Book 3, Tank, in my The Biker Next Door series
Definitely in need of an editor. There are some awkward sentences and punctuation errors. Additionally, an editor would probably have deleted the nasty surprise in the freezer which, while I understand the author’s intent, has no place in a romance. The story has promise but, at the moment relies on the sex scenes to captivate an audience. Work is needed to craft the characters a little more.
At the start I thought this was going to be a really good book. However by 30% it was really dragging for me. It seemed like the same stuff was being said over and over again. I didn't feel a real connection to the characters. 2.5 stars for me
Read in a single setting. This story read like a rough draft, lacking direction with undesirable characters. I hate to be so harsh but, scenes/characters seemed incomplete - or worse tossed in to fill holes.
Not your typical second chances read. Tory tossed in some good humor with a grumpy spellbound MC and a witty FMC. There's humor, lots of spice, and the drama that follows a divorce....in high speed. Buckle up!
She is on the run from her ex. He wants a new start. He is attracted to her but there are problems with that. I liked it. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.
I got this as a part of a test-to-see-if-B&N-lending-works with various kinds of software and figured I might as well read it since I had it. Mediocre-quality in terms of plot, poorly copy-edited, and there are some howlers in here as well ("A cry escaped her when he sliced through her sensitive pussy lips" in the middle of a sex --not torture-- scene. OUCH! ). As for the plot, hot mess Maggie Myers falls for Sheriff Matt Dillon (no joke!) while stalked by her psycho ex-husband. The plot holes aren't the size of the hero's penis, but fortunately the heroine's unusally long vagina is! The sparkling dialogue told me so. I kind of got a so-bad-it's-good kick out of this one to be honest.
