As with the three companion volumes to this Random House set, this book is a fair summary of basic writings concerning views about man's spirit.

If I'm being honest...I'm a little burnt out on religious philosophy. Spinoza, Hume, and Schopenhauer were really great reading, though. George Berkeley was not. I wanted to enjoy Nietzsche but he reads too much like r/atheism and I couldn't get internet trolls out of my mind.
