Ritchie Ranch #4

Kissing the Christmas Cowboy

Natalie Winters grew up believing she wouldn’t amount to much. When her sister gets a new job that will help pay medical bills, Natalie takes her place as a nanny in one of the legendary Ritchie family households. She works hard and doesn’t want to be seen as a charity case, but opening her heart at Christmas is harder than she expects. Camden Ritchie, a widower and single dad, adores his kids, but they’re a handful. When he hires a nanny, she has both Mary Poppins energy and gorgeous good looks—not at all what he expected. Since losing his wife, he’s been closed off, but she brings joy to the entire family. He can’t have her, but denying his love is harder than putting socks on a hog. When disaster strikes involving four calling birds, three French hens, two turtles doves, and a dozen goats, they need a miracle to save the Christmas pageant, proving they might just have the family and true love they’re each looking for. This is book 4 in the Richie Ranch Clean Cowboy Romance series. It stands alone, but don't miss the others in the series for a deeper, richer reading experience. It is a sweet, small-town, cowboy “clean and wholesome” romance that’s Christian faith-friendly without swearing or mature content and contains a happily ever after.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

This is a wonderful sweet and clean second chance romance. Camden Ritchie is a widower with 5 children. He lives on the ranch with the rest of the Ritchie clan but doesn't work the ranch. He is an accountant. Natalie Winters is a divorcee who moved back home where her twin sister, Felicity, and father, Jeff, live. Natalie worked in a bakery in Austin, TX until it closed. She is looking for another job when her sister announces she just got a job but she has an interview for a nanny position. In trying to talk Natalie into going on the nanny interview, Felicity reads an ad from the paper. It reads like a "love letter" as the wife is dead and has been for years. She is trying to help "Biscuit" look for another woman to love. She gave the newspaper 4 years before putting the ad into print. After reading the ad, Felicity dares Natalie to go and meet with the widower.

Upon meeting Camden in the dinner in Smuggler's Springs, Natalie figures out the widower is also the man looking for a nanny for his five kids. This was such a wonderful Christmas time romance. I really enjoyed reading about Camden and the kids more. He had made a couple of appearances in prior books.

This is written in a dual POV format. It is my favorite. It helps me to understand the character and to relate to them better. I look forward to reading more of the Ritchie clan.

This is a sweet, clean Christian romance. While is it a part of the Ritchie clan series, you do not have to read the prior stories to understand this one. I would highly recommend reading all of them though as it is a wonderful series.

Widower Camden Ritchie placed an ad for a nanny for his five young children, while unbeknownst to him his wife before her death set up a personal ad for in the newspaper to come out four years after her death to help him find love again. He thinks Natalie Winters is meeting him at the restaurant to interview for the nanny position but on a dare from her sister she's there for the personal ad. His children are lively, mischievous, and loving especially the youngest Everett, who calls Natalie Nommy and clings to her soaking up her guidance and love. Natalie comes off as confident and quick on her feet around the children helping to quickly settle arguments and redirect upset feelings. But she lacks self-confidence thinking that she can never measure up to seemingly perfect Bethany while Natalie is a divorcee living with her father and sister in a trailer park. Camden also has fears about losing Natalie which causes him to be hesitant in their relationship. But his children, especially sweet Everett saw early on that they were brought together by an angel. The goats were a riot, but I would be frustrated having to deal with them getting into and destroying things. I thought the rubber tire playground was a great idea. I laughed, smiled, and got a little teary at times reading this sweet Christian Hallmark-like romance.

She’s from the wrong side of the tracks. His life is a train wreck. Can they survive Christmas?

Natalie has an interview with Camden. She thinks it's to become his new wife for his ready-made family. He thinks he's hiring her sister as his new nanny. He ends up hiring her as the nanny, and she's nearly as good as Mary Poppins herself, whipping his five young children into shape. She's had a tough life, having grown up without her mother, and was made to feel ashamed of where she comes from. He's still grieving for his wife, who died four years ago. I've enjoyed reading the books in this series, and even more so with this book. It's a wonderful story of forgiveness, second chances, and finding new love while remembering the past, allowing prayer and their faith to heal and guide them. As always, the Ritchie family is more than welcoming to newcomers, opening their homes and hearts not just to Natalie, but to her entire family as well. The children are adorable, and mostly well-behaved. Little Everett comes up with the sweetest name for Natalie - Nommy, his cross between Nanny and Mommy - and all of the children fall in love with her, as she seeks to make each of them feel special. The goats provide some much needed comedic relief alongside the frustration with their antics.

After being a widower for four years, Camden realizes he needs a nanny to get back on track with his five children. When Natalie enters their lives, she not only fills her role as nanny, she also fills the hole in their hearts the death of their mother and wife left behind. Though it all sounds perfect, the past, insecurities, and fears catch up…
The feelings of unworthiness plaguing Natalie were very well described. I guess I’m not the only one who can relate to her character, seeing everything the others surrounding me have to offer and magnifying my own shortcomings. However, as Natalie and Camden realize what God’s presence entails, they can both heal from past wounds and move forward. Though partly very sad, this faith-filled story is very encouraging both in love from family and God. Though this book can be read as a stand-alone, you will recognize most characters from the previous books of the series. Enjoy spending Christmas with Camden’s and Natalie’s families, as they learn the healing forgiveness and letting go bring.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Camden Ritchie lost his wife, Bethany several years previously leaving him with five young children. The same day he was to interview a woman to be the nanny for his children there was a personal that came out in the paper looking for him a wife placed by his deceased wife before she passed. Natalie Winters went to meet Camden in answer to the wife's ad, but he thought he was interviewing for the nanny. He had not seen the ad in the newspaper yet. Needless to say he was in shock and walked out so Natalie went for a walk around town, when she saw two young children running down the sidewalk toward disaster. She managed to stop them before, they ran out in front of a delivery truck. It was not to long before Camden came a long with the rest of the children. Camden liked how she handled the children so he agreed to give her a chance as the nanny. It was not long before the youngest, Everett was calling her Nonny. This was an exceptional story of two people who had lost loved ones close to them trying to put their lives back together. A true emotional read with bouts of humor.

I love the Ritchie family and this story is no exception. Natalie meets Camden when she answers the ad that his deceased wife scheduled to run in the newspaper five years after her death. Bethany (Muffin) wants Camden (Biscuit) to get his happily ever after with someone else. Camden thinks Natalie is there for the nanny position he advertised for, although her twin sister Felicity was the one to answer his ad. Grab your copy and see what happens. I loved Camden’s five kiddos and the hilarious happenings involving the goats, lol.

A woman arranges for her death that 4 years later there will be a letter in the newspaper, asking someone to love her husband for her. A lovely written letter, passing on her husband to another woman to love him. Her husband does not believe to be ready, but when he sees the woman answering that letter, he is smitten. A woman willing to take on not only a widower, but also his 5 young children.
A sweet romance, with a fresh breeze coming from the children and their wisdom. Engaging and well-written.

Christmas Romance at the Ranch
This is the fourth book in a series that really needs to be read in order. This is a sweet and clean romance about second chances and God's love. The plot is lovely with lots of Christmas time feel-good moments. While it ends as expected, the fun is in the journey. It is nicely done with just the right amount of angst. I received this ARC book for free from Booksprout and this is my honest review.

Camden lost his wife four years ago to cancer and is struggling to raise his five rowdy children until Natalie comes into his life. She has a way with children and soon his children are on good behavior and she fits into his family perfectly but Camden is not sure he is ready to move on while Natalie is not sure where she fits in. With guidance from God they make a wonderful family filled with love.

A sweet Christmas and family romance. It’s definitely an standalone without any connection, besides the familial one, to the previous three books. I really enjoyed following these kids (both humans and goats) through this tale. It was a warm read.

I loved that Natalie and Felicity were twins and Camden's children were also twins. Ellie Hall created likeable and realistic characters that I would love to be friends with. I'm glad they were able to overcome their insecurities and get together. Such a fun book to read. I think the name Nommy is great.

This whole series has been good and this one is no exception. This story starts with Natalie replying to an add on the paper and one thing leads to another she lands a job as a nommie. I feel this a nice romance and enjoy the children in this story. I loved how the author made this story come alive and connect to the other stories in the series.

Enjoyable

Yes, it starts off down. Love the sisters! Their relationship is truly heart-warming. Next, are the children; they are adorable. The two adults involved have abandonment issues, plus. It is a good story that ends on the up-note. Would love to know what happens to Felicity, though!!

Great book

This is a nicely written Christmas story. It has a few twists. Not too many but enough to keep it interesting. The conflicts are many but reflected upon between the main characters. I read this in February, near Valentine's day. It seemed to fit the mood of the season! Very nice read. I recommend this book.

I am growing fonder of this series with every book I read. I usually forget the characters’ names or who they paired up with. In this series I didn’t have trouble.

Natalie and Camden's story is a continuation of the background story in the series, however they have very unique stories of their own. I grew to care for these characters and was happy when they resolved things in the end after so many things were thrown at them.

This was the fourth book in the series and this could unlike the others be read as a standalone. It was a cute single parent/ nanny romance with a twist. I again have the same problem as with the previous books that I just didn’t like the way the story was written but the storyline was cute.

Sweet

When Natalie answers an ad in the paper she wasn't expecting a job, he wasn't expecting her either. He isn't looking for love but his wife who died four years earlier sent him an angel. Can they make it work? Oh you have to read this..
