Dances with Wolves, Part II: John Dunbar

Rate this book
This story is based on a time period set in 1865. Therefore, it is necessary to step back into that period --post-Civil War. Research indicates the Lakota Sioux and other tribes wintered in the Grand Teton Mountain Range, known today as Yellowstone National Forest. This is the starting point for Dances With Wolves, Part John Dunbar. This manuscript is 315 pages, based on two clues from a journal written by Carrie DeVoe that mentions Lieutenant John Dunbar. The rest is based on actual court proceedings that took place in 1865. Presidential pardons were issued by President Andrew Johnson (200) between 1865 and 1867. Available transportation routes existed in Washington, D.C., in 1865. Information locates the Lakota Sioux People in the Grand Teton range shared by several Native American tribes in 1865. Dances With Wolves, Part John Dunbar is based on historical facts from 1865.
