I don't know what to comment on: the romance that had me swooning, the parents that stood by their kids, Devon - my sweet precious baby, Grace, the humour, the friendships. This was a full package deal, more or less.

I loved what Keira and Asher had and what they built. Despite the chaos and the drama - there were so many moments that had me feeling violent - they continued to show up for each other regardless.

I love that we got to see Keira balancing single motherhood alongside going for her goals and dreams, even though she had some fears and reservations surrounding it all. She had so much strength as a character and I couldn't help but admire her. And Asher, my god! I need a carbon copy for him.

It's not fair that men like him only exist in the fictional realm.

There was sooooo much I enjoyed about this story that I’m not even sure where to begin. We got an introduction to Asher and Keira in Astral and their full length novel did not disappoint. This was the small town romance that was equivalent to your grandmothers warm hug after she’s taken fresh butters biscuits from the oven and served them with honey.

For Asher and Keira, timing was everything and timing just wasn’t right. They shared an intimate weekend with each other and Asher was back to the big city. After coming off a record breaking game, Asher’s high was doused with cold water when he was accused of a crime he didn’t commit by a jealous woman that wouldn’t take no for an answer. Now at risk of losing everything he’s worked so hard for, Asher takes this time to reevaluate his life and finds that things that he’d never considered for his life such as family, love and community means more to him than anything else.

Written in the stars was such a good story filled with plenty of laughter and love and I definitely recommend adding this to your tbr!

I have tried at least 3 times to write a review worthy of Written in the Stars. I don’t know if anything I write can explain just how damn good Asher and Keira’s love story is. Skye Moon deserves all the accolades and love that one can give a writer for this book. Written in the Stars gives you that feeling that only your favorite love song gives you when you hear the first beat. This book is written with heart , heat and passion. Written in The Stars is about love that is kismet. It’s impossible to not love everything about this book!

TW: child abuse and assault are discussed in this book. The act doesn’t occur on page.

Asher is the man!! Coming off the short Astral it seems the spark Asher felt for Keira was still there even through the mess. Keira and Asher showed up for each other in ways that just made me swoon! Also they was having 🌶️ sex 🤭! That kitchen scene was something lol Blaine is trash and so was the other BM!
Overall I enjoyed this read! I wish we got more time with the couple! I will say the writing style between book1 & 2 I like the style of book 1 but I loved the story of book 2 more! Also nitpicking I didn’t think the injury matched what happened but that didn’t take a way from me enjoying this! Hope I didn’t give any spoilers away! I would recommend this book.

Written in the Stars.. ✨Asher & Keira were destined for each other. The story is beautifully written with so many gems that can resonate with so many different things. I appreciated the prequel to this story in Astral because we learn just enough about these two. But this book gave me all that I needed. I loved the buildup and the genuine friendship between the two. Asher is a popular football player and a jealous situationship lands him in legal trouble. Can I say, I don’t like people that cannot move on - just why? Ugh. Anyway, that situation brings Keira & Asher back together- where he belonged! It was clear that these two were in total sync with each other. I loved how Asher accepted Keira and was the constant presence for Devon. I wanted Asher to knock some sense into Blaine but I understand why he couldn’t lay hands on him. lol. I really loved how the characters communicated their fears and needs. They found solace in one another, as well. It was a great story.

*i was given an arc in exchange for an honest review

this book had me grinning and blushing so hard. when men show up for their women without having being told/asked to >>> (in the literal and figurative senses). ash showing up at the farmer’s market after she told him abt it the day before with no expectations of him coming warmed my heart

their banter was impeccable and oh so cute, and while read i could just tell they were good for each other (and would be in the long run) because the chemistry between them was there and they were so compatibility

asher was so good to devon and i loved their relationship. keira, and devon mostly, more than deserved to have a stable second parent in his life. poor baby’s mental health was taking hit after hit due to his father’s flakiness so it was nice to see him get some such needed stability in his life

i’m glad that keira had a strong support system but i’m more glad that overtime she became less complacent and comfortable with living a life she was unhappy with and took the chance on herself to do more and do the things that made her happy (which would still be beneficial to her son in the long term although some sacrifices were made at the time)

this is nitpicky but i don’t understand why they had sex sex after discussing heavy topics because there’s just no way talking abt asher’s woes made them horny😭

but anyway this was a good read overall. very sweet

4.5⭐

This was a really sweet, romance. I enjoyed getting to know this couple and their families. It was really nice seeing strong Black fathers present in their children's lives. Outside of that one who shall remain nameless.
The story was written well and I was able to get to know both main characters and I was rooting for them to win.
It had the feel of a Hallmark holiday movie and I loved that. There were just a few errors that barely registered and not even enough to detract from the story. I would definitely recommend this story for someone looking for a feel good story with a little bit of drama, low angst and a HEA.

I'm starry-eyed

A good love story is a perfect elixir for a lazy Saturday in my house. I was delighted when Kiera gave up her hard line about being with a celebrity. Asher wasn't your run-of-the-mill athlete. He was not arrogant and a womanizer. Asher learned that a pretty face and a big backside aren't always a match for his long-term love interest. And insensitive is no match at all. Kiera's baby's father's issues were enough to watch to go back to square one. I loved Kiera and Asher's families and friends. The novel was an incredible read.

Asher McKinney and Keira Williams are back! And this time the wide receiver career hits the fan when his ex Tatianna accuses him of the unthinkable. Kiera is still trying to get over the night she spent with Asher on the 4th of July, but that man has captured her entire being.

Asher was desperate to get out of the city and escape all the judgment, landing in Woodgate he seeks solace in the woman his soul craves. As the universe continues to force these two together will they finally get out of their own way and allow this love to be written in the stars?!

I will be rereading this one again this year for sure!! I dont know what is is about these Asher men, but I need to find me one ASAP!!

I really love the development of Asher and Keira’s relationship. Their communication was tops here. These two felt Destin from the beginning, and I love that they allowed their relationship to develop at an organic pace. Nothing about these two felt forced, rushed or fake. Sometimes when you’re going through a difficult situation, you question God and feel like you’re being punished when in reality, God could be putting you through that trial to bring you one of your biggest blessings and that’s exactly what he did with Asher and Keira. Read this one ASAP!

I loved Keira/Asher. I peeped their chemistry in Against the Stars so I was so excited when Astral dropped and after finishing Written in the Stars I fell in love with both of them even more. This was the perfect example of a soft romance, even though they both were dealing with bs in their lives, they didn’t allow that to cause friction in their relationship. I loved how Kiera had Asher’s back as a friend and a lover. I loved how Asher just fit with Keira and Devon. He understood they were a packaged deal and he stepped up for that baby without a second thought. They supported each other and it was almost like we were watching them become best friends as they were falling in love. I enjoyed the writing and pace of this story. The tougher subjects were handled really well also. I felt the emotions through the pages and as a reader I cared about these characters. Skye Moon has another 5 star book!!

OMG ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 This book was so good. The way Tati did Asher had me wanting to beat her ass. Like it no way you could be that damn evil. Sadie and Blaine needed a good ass cutting too. I'm glad that Keira finally stopped fighting it and let Asher show her what a real man is. How they helped each over come there problem was amazing. This book was a great read and made you see that in the end all you have to do is have faith and everything will be all right ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Asher and Keira developed the kind of relationship one would call “i fell in love with my best friend!” Author Skye Moon wrote such a soft love between the two even in the midst of chaos going on in each of their lives. I admired the kind of man Asher is to Keira and Devon. Stepping up in several areas of their lives also helped him cope with what was happening in his. I loved loved loved this story.

A woman falsely accused a football player of assault and he went to a small town to get away from the media. He ran into a woman he had a one time thing with before and they started to play house it was well written but the story didn’t move as quickly as I wanted it to

Kayson 🙃🙃🙃

This was a cute Black small-town romance. I loved all the fall things throughout! Keira and Asher were basically forced together during a time when they both were gonna need each other and didn't even know it. Asher was the perfect gentleman and person to be by her side as she navigated her lame BD and new ventures she was taking. Keira was the comfort Asher needed as he dealt with what can sometimes come with being in the spotlight and having ppl try to bring you down for their own reasons. My only qualms is that we didn't get more of an update on my boo Kayson but I'm glad he getting his own happy ending after that one girl he dated 🙃. Read it!

I read Astral and honestly couldn't wait to get my hands on Written in the Stars. I received an ARC copy for review and it did not disappoint. From a technical aspect, I love the writing style. The language, the pacing, the plot was fleshed out really well. The author took a crack at some really tough topics and she wrote them well.

Asher and Keira are so adorable really. Their love story was destined and I love that Asher knew that, and didn't waste time resisting. I've been getting my fill of firm and decisive men and I still contend that there's nothing sexier than a self-aware man. Asher was able to keep hold on himself and remember who he was even as he battled with people thinking that he was a bad person. It spoke to his strength. And giving him an extended family to lean into was a very nice touch.

Keira's fears about her adequacy as a parent and whether she could be an actual success because of past mistakes was so heartfelt and genuine. I really liked the way she stood up for herself, and her child. She was lovely, and her heart was pure. The way she stepped in to be a safe space for Asher and was able to open herself up and allow him to be a safe space for her as well was pretty perfect.

Keira and Asher were also hot as hell and I love me a hot couple.

The issues in the book that tore Asher's life apart were tough to wade through because it's so rare that something like that is a lie. It was an awkward place for me. But it was handled well, I thought. delicately enough.

I said it for Astral and I’ll say it again.. Asher is the man! He won me over with the glimpse we got of him in Against the Stars and now I love him even more! When he looked at Blaine and said I’m the daddy now I literally fell back in my chair like Lawd this man has the best kind of audacity! He was always big stepping about Keira and Devon. When he said I got tall he meant that and stood on it!

I loved the whole chucky thing, seemingly random but it was so cute especially when Devon got in on it. I loved when Keira got checked by her daddy and finally let herself take steps forward. I loved how everyone accepted Asher. I love the “podunk” town and how country everyone was. There’s just so many things I lived about this book!

Now unpopular opinion.. I wouldn’t be mad at a Blaine redemption 🫣 He was dead wrong for a lot, he was suffering the consequences of his own actions but I don’t think he ever fully wanted things how they ended up. The man just needs to grow up! Sadie can rot somewhere hot though!

So I’ve been a fan of Against the Stars and when Skye wrote Astral, I was super happy because I really wanted to know more about Asher’s and Keira’s relationship. Written in the Stars takes place months after Astral, and it starts off with a huge bang! Asher has a temper, yes but he’s too much of a damn gentleman to do what he was accused of. I was happy he not only got to clear his name but he also chose not to seek revenge.

And with Keira, girl!! More power to her, she was the PERFECT single mother and her BD was nothing but a damn bum. Then that scene with Devon, who is Keira’s five year old son, ugh my heart broke but I was very happy Asher did what he needed to do! Lol The small-town romance is something I truly want to read more of! Skye, you did the damn thing with this book! And the fall elements were a beautiful touch! The only thing is, I didn’t like the Chucky reference cuz like Keira, I hate that damn doll too! Lol

4.5 ⭐️ I knew from reading Astral that Kiera and Asher would be my favorite couple in this series. This series just confirmed my love for small-town & found family in romances. The bond Asher & Kiera had felt so genuine. Asher will always be one of favorites because the way he supported and loved Kiera was unmatched. Especially with all he had going on, he never once let that take priority over Kiera & Devon 💗😭 Kiera is such a strong person and has a caring soul. She could be difficult at times but for valid reasonings. I could not imagine tolerating Blaine as much as she did. I also loved how all of their family and friends were so supportive and VERY honest. Like y’all I really could go on & on about them. I loved this book!

Finally...

Asher has been accused of the unthinkable, so when his career was put on hold, he finally gives in to take time away and shows up at Keira doorstep. Keira still has her doubts about Asher, but when he needed her, she showed up and started to let her walls down. As their time together grew, so did feelings and they decided to give them a try. Keira and Asher both had to work out issues in the lives, but together they got through them. They were perfect for each other and I'm so happy they worked out!!! I hope to see a wedding soon!!!

so sweet!

I really enjoyed reading Keira and Asher’s love story. Asher was all about Keira and Devon from day one! And omg, Asher and Keira were my kind of nasty in the bedroom, okay!!! I love the welcoming spirit floating through the small town and enjoyed reading as Keira’s parents welcomed in Asher. Blaine and Sadie were pathetic and i’m glad that Devon had Asher stepping behind him. It was also nice to see Kae and Q in the book too.

Asher, Asher, Asher!!!

This man was it!!! Keira waited for a good one! Blaine can suck a dick! There is no redeeming those “qualities” honey!

I loved everything about this book! Skye’s writing makes you feel like you are just having a conversation with friends. Her books always feel like home.

Asher did not have to be there for Keira and her son but he stepped up to the plate because that man was in love with all of her!

So so good!!!!

Awwww I loved these two!! Asher was a real man, he was playing games. He came in setting the tone and he never waivered with Keira.

Now, Blaine and Sadie were straight trash. Him most especially, because 🗣️SIR!! How dare you?!

Another great thing about this… not as much from Kael. I still don’t see it for her.

The people of Woodgate were the real MVPs. Can I move there and find my Ash?

Written in the Stars

Asher and Kiera’s romance was built in a foundation that was shaken at first but quickly became solid. Asher’s tumble at the actions of another brought him back to the safe haven in Kiera and all that she had to offer. This romance was a grown up fairy tale and definitely leads to a happy ending.

Loved Asher and Keira story. He had the belief in them before she did but finally she got with the program. I love when a man can l9ve someone else’s child as their own. Asher did tha5vwith Devon. Blaine is a bum a$$ negro and a lousy father. I love Keira’s parents, especially her dad Roderick. And Asher’s dad Marshall was a hot mess too. Loved how much he loved his son. And amazing single dad

Asher & Keira

Cute book. So excited this author released another book. I would like a follow up to see what happens with her career and when she eventually has to move to BH. Also, the author kept using the word "skewer" when it should've been "skew".
