Rate this book
From USA Today bestselling author Molly O’Hare comes Teased by Love, Hank and Olive's story and holiday follow-up in one place.

Teased by Fire is an enemies-to-lovers, older brother’s best friend, romantic comedy with a curvy, anti-social, supernatural-obsessed, all-year-round holiday-loving, secret romance author, and a hunky firefighter who is more than willing to be her new research partner.

Olive’s content living her anti-social existence, letting the characters she writes about fulfill her wild side. She’s worked hard to achieve a zero-human interaction life and wants to keep it that way. Then her best friend and roommate announced she’s moving out, and her older brother was moving in. Now Olive has to deal with the guy that’s teased her their entire life. But when Hank finds out about her secret career, how could she turn down the offer for a hands-on research partner for her books?

Hank’s had a thing for Olive for as long as he could remember. When he realized she needed a roommate, he jumped at the chance. Why wouldn’t he, when playing harmless pranks and teasing Olive, had always been his favorite pastime? One day when Hank let his curiosity get the better of him, he discovered Olive had a whole other side of her she kept hidden away.

All Hank has to do is convince Olive life is a heck of a lot more fun when you add some fire to it.

Molly O’Hare is a USA Today bestselling author of plus-sized/curvy romance books.

Molly's obsessed with all things animals, mainly Corgis, and body positivity. She grew up with severe dyslexia: trust her, spelling is not her strong suit. Over the years, she’s become a huge advocate of “just because you learn something a little differently than others doesn’t make you less.” To help herself fall asleep, she’d create stories in her head, always picking up where she left off the night before. Molly figured if she got enjoyment out of her imagination, others might as well. So here we are.

Technically the Teased By Fire section of thing book combo was a reread for me, but Teased By Tinsel was new.

My thought about Teased By Fire remained the same; I liked the second half of the book a lot more than the first half. I cried more than expected, but also laughed a ton and really grew to love the characters.

I’m a huge Christmas person, so I think I expected to move Teased By Tinsel more than I did. I think maybe it was just that there was so much happening in really not a lot of pages, it just came off as a bit too much for my preference. And while I find Molly O’Hare to be a very funny author in general, threats of violence just isn’t my type of humour and that seemed more prominent in this, especially towards the end.

I really am glad I read this, for a little ‘Christmas in July’ feeling. I’d love to read Miranda and Lucas’ story if it happens.

I'm a bit sad that I really didn't connect with this because I invested in a physical hard copy and a themed box two yars ago. And the cover, while simple, is gorgeous.
I like the characters - Olive, curvy secret romance author obssessed with sci-fi, Hank, her best friend's older brother who moves in after his sister goes away to pursue her dreams. The parents, the guys from the station. I liked the tropes, and I did like some of the situations, from messing the booksgelf up to the cat named Dog, to the ongoing bets and the Christmas obsession. I liked all of it.
But I was kinda tired of it by the time I read the second story. I wanted to finally get Lucas and Moranda's story. Which I am unable to find so I'm either blind or it's not out.
I did like the writing and the creativity so I do want to try and read more from Molly. Especially about Luke and Miranda.
