You need to get into the right mindset when you pick up the phone to call a total stranger. You need to understand that in most cases they did not solicit your call, and even if they did you should not assume they will remember. We are all humans doing the best we can with what we got. With that said don’t take what people say personally, some people are just shitty people and you can’t let them impact your life. Don’t let your personal issues influence your calls either. You need to be a Phone Ninja, and that requires all of your attention. You can’t make quality calls if you are being distracted by other things going on, so find a quiet place to work.
