Tewkesbury: Eclipse of the House of Lancaster- 1471
On 4 May 1471 the forces of Lancaster under the Duke of Somerset and those of York under Edward IV clashed at Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire in one of the decisive battles of the Wars of the Roses. Edward's overwhelming victory secured for him the throne of England and led to the near ruin of the Lancastrian cause. Steve Goodchild's gripping account of the fighting, and of the politics and intrigue that led to it, is the first to take fully into account the landscape of the West Country over which the opposing armies marched and the terrain on which they fought.

Concise history of the Battle of Tewkesbury in 1471. Perhaps a little too brief.

This is the first book I've read published by Pen & Sword. Published 2005. Almost pocket sized this book was extremely informative, with a good general history of the Wars of the Roses, before dealing with this final battle between Yorkist King Edward IV and Lancastrian forces fighting for the Prince of Wales.
Throughout, this book is full of information which gives the modern day visitor to Tewkesbury all the information they need to retrace the paths of both armies, with lots of maps and modern day photographs.
The book also gives pen-pics of the main protagonists as well as a history and archaeology of the sites.
