A desperate young man. An unwavering mare. A bond that death cannot break. Nathan has survived the years since his parents’ murders by visiting an equine assisted therapy centre every day, where a devoted mare provides him with sanctuary from his demons. When she and the other therapy horses are taken from the centre by the police and herded out of The City Of Glory, Nathan is ready to kill or be killed.
But then the enigmatic Tania takes his hand and he remembers another time. Another life. Then, he was one of the Horse-Bonded, one who failed to fulfil his potential. Now, he is a scientific research assistant barely clinging to sanity. The fate of The City Of Glory’s citizens depends on him staying alive but in order to do that, he will need to embrace both his memory of who he really is, and the help of the horse who won’t allow death to thwart them both…
The Way Of The Horse is the sixth novel in The Horses Know series and is best read after The Forgotten Horses.
Lynn Mann is a writer with a long-standing involvement with horses, both personally and professionally. She lives in Shropshire with her husband and their two dogs, two cats and two horses. All of her animals are rescues, although they have, in their own way, each rescued her in return!
This series is wonderful and has everything you want a really great book to have. Your horizons will expand as your own wings stretch to reach their full potential with you. Every book in the series I never want to end. Thank goodness for Lynn Mann, The Way Of The Horse is a breath a fresh air.
Awesome series, kinda scary because I currently see the world moving this direction with the 15 min cities popping up😢 it’s a sad scenario… This book and the others in it, hit the nail on the head when it comes to our partnerships with our horses, the calming nature of them soothe the soul.
I am amazed and humbled by the skill of this author. This series weaves a tapestry of truth, dimension, sensitivity, and compassion. It makes the connectedness to things into a picture in the mind of the possibilities we miss when we do not live the potential.
There is so much packed in to this series that I'm pretty certain I will re-read them. The timing of my discovering these books is a bit scary, as I am myself learning to make greater and deeper connections with my horses.
