I continued this series because I was hoping for more. The story has good bones so I was thinking that maybe the second one would be better. Then I got to chapter 46… There must have been a chunk of the book that got left out between chapter 45 and 46.
Jokes on everyone- it will make sense after chapter 47. Read 45-47-48 in that order and you will not be left utterly confused like I was. Chapter 46 ended up in chapter 47 so it literally repeats itself. Don’t even worry about reading the large version of chapter 46.
Dreams In Pink is a master class in how to write a book that works well as a stand-alone or part of a series. This second book continues to follow the adventures of Darla, its lead character, who clearly has as many issues as the Pink Club itself. Author Emma Bruce expertly turns Darla’s struggles into comedic situations that everyone can enjoy and gain inspiration from. And if you like to read about developing romances, then you will particularly enjoy this book. Looking forward to reading Book 3!
I decided to give book two a chance to redeem itself. While I feel like I can connect with Darla. I just can't seem to find that with any of the other characters. Somewhere along the line the book lost me jumping from one part to another like chapters were in the wrong order.
The Larry situation and the ex. Both felt overkill. This book has so much more potential than what I read. Some major potholes and inconsistencies like the first Pink Club.
Darla and Pink Club have such a great plot it just needs less drama more lust, love, and dancing. More of Mimi.

Pink Club Series Book 2 skillfully weaves tension and emotion as Darla grapples with her feelings for Joshua while chaos erupts from Mimi Glass's shocking return. Joshua’s internal struggle between loyalty to Pink Club and his family deepens the narrative, making his choices compelling. The vivid dance routines and the buildup to major events keep the pacing brisk and engaging. This updated edition enhances character development and emotional depth, making it a must-read for fans of dance and drama.
Thoroughly enjoyed this second instalment to The Pink Club series.
Money well spent and as usual Bruce didn't disappoint with her skills as an author who knows what it takes to balance good humour, wit and suspense. The creativity reflected here with Dreams In Pink really brought Darla's world to life for me. I also learned a lot more about mental health aids such as 'The Havening' technique and as a result now use this in my own life.
This book does an amazing job of keeping readers on edge. The romance is passionate yet realistic, the suspense is gripping, and the dance elements add an extra layer of excitement. If you’re looking for a book that combines heart-pounding drama with unforgettable characters, Pink Club: Book Two is a must-read!
Wow what another brilliant book. Really well written and a very enjoyable read. Was a fantastic page turner especially between darla and joshua and the chemistry between them. Can’t wait to see what happens in the 3rd book.
Dreams in Pink' by Emma Bruce is the second book in the Pink Club series and is the sequel to the first instalment. And if you have not read the prequel yet, I recommend that you do that immediately! The book continues to follow the characters introduced before and delves deeper into new challenges and issues at hand.
The events of the book begin in media res, after a week after which the last book ended. The story picks up with the reappearance of Mimi Glass, who had supposedly been murdered five years ago. And this incident leads to a dilemma in the life of the protagonist, Darla, concerning her position in the Pink Club. The anxious state that Darla finds herself in is visible from the first chapter itself. Her surroundings only get more complicated as the story proceeds. It is Darla that the readers cheer for as she tries to deal with all that is thrown her way. The plot is engaging and well-paced, and the language used is free-flowing and conversational.
The author has created a good set of characters and each of them possesses unique personalities and depth. While there are side plots throughout the work; the main focus, just like in the first instalment, is on Darla. This is the second part of her journey and delves deeper into her character arc. Using Darla as the narrator helps to throw light onto her emotional states, how she views the other characters, and her psyche as well. The author has continued with her motto of leading her readers into a world of glitz and glam in this sequel commendably as it also tries to scour out the truth behind all that flash. This book was as entertaining as its predecessor and came highly recommended from my side!
This is the follow on for Pink Club, if you haven't already read it, then you must! So pleased that Emma Bruce has created a sequel. It'd be great if this would be put into a mini-series, I'd be the first to watch it. There is a third book coming out soon so I can't wait for that either. This book is so well written, that I am now a huge follower and fan of Emma Bruce. The words flow easy and the pace is not too fast nor is it slow. I just wanted to keep on reading what happens to the MC, Darcy and The Pink Club. It's really a great story about not giving up, having the courage, strength and determination to keep going and if you have a dream follow it and believe in it. A really heart-warming story. Thank you Emma for creating Pink Club and Dreams In Pink. Couldn't think of a better way to spend my time than reading your books. Kerry Author of Dakota & Boris Flies To The Moon
