Harpo, who dis woman?!!! Bethany was not the wife Cade thought he was getting. That heffa was a hot embarrassing mess. Cade treated Bethany like a queen and she didn’t want for anything but, it was never enough for that ungrateful, selfish, money hungry bytch. That trick was runnin’ around in and out of town layin’ low and spreadin’ wide for masses. Anybody could get it from Bethany. She wasn’t particularly picky with her side dudes. When his parents died, Bethany showed her true colors and Cade’s blinders finally fell off. Lawd, I was so happy when he started seeing Bethany for the conniving woman she truly was. I just hate he let her get away with so much for so long. But, that’s okay because when karma came for her, she was on that azz and didn’t let up. Just know, Bethany got exactly what she deserved. Cade didn’t waste any time crying over spilled milk. The ink was barely dry on his divorce papers before he started skinnin’ and grinin’ in Analise’s face. Who knew a fight between teenagers would be so life changing?!!! Analise meeting Cade was everything she didn’t know she needed. Their attraction was instant and their chemistry was hot. And while they got together pretty damn fast, it doesn’t negate the authenticity of the love they had for each other. The family ties were on full display in this book. I loved how effortlessly they blended their families. I really loved the bond between the girls. You couldn’t’ve told anyone Cadence, Tsia, and Michelle weren’t blood sisters. Analise didn’t have many friends so, I thought it was sweet how Prue, Fiva, Fia, Tonya, and Connie embraced her and brought her into their tightknit crew. Big Willow must’ve bought her audacity from the same spot as Layla because, chiiiiiiile, she had some f*ckin’ nerve. You gotta read the book to know what I’m talkin’ about. Pieces of My Peace was a sweet and heartfelt read. It was the perfect insta love story and there were so many lessons learned. You guys definitely want to add this book to your TBR.

I Love A HEA

Cade was a really good guy and unfortunately he had a wife that didn’t deserve him. When tragedy strikes the Briggs family, Cade get to see who his wife really is….Cade goes on to meet Annalise, the person he has more in common with and he tries to see if it will work for him this time. Cute story.

< intense>A detailed tale

The story took on so many areas that added a deeper dimension to the story. I guessed the couple at the start of this one might not be the same at The End. I am happy the situation worked out for Ana and Tsia because they needed a break. Also, Cade and Cadence too. Poor Bethany showed that greed is a mother....and karma is a sneaky beach served hot!

Yep another good one

Yep Mel Dau never fails. Once again it was a great read. I realize I love a instant or to say quick love story. I love to growth and a strong help system around that growth. I saw that in the couple and with this extended family.

Come on through Mel! This read had a bit of everything. Some sweet moments, sad, funny, ratchet, but most of all love! Cade was such a good man. That wife of his did not deserve to breathe the same air as he did! He found out soon enough that he had his blinders on, and didn’t really know the woman he married. Or did he, and just ignored all the signs? Chile….. Bethany was a whole damn mess! She was a conniving, money hungry, selfish bih! 🤬 But, she messed with the wrong ones, and karma came for her with a vengeance! I was here for it all, as it slowly dragged her down to the depths of karma hell! 😈

Analise had a rough go at life, after she had her daughter young; but she persevered. Moving to Charlotte to start a new life, was the best decision she could make for her and Tsia. Cade meeting Analise was sweet, and their attraction was immediate. Their road to love although fast, was authentic and their love could be felt through the pages. The blending of the families was beautiful, especially that ending had me a little teary. Really good catching up with the Leota’s, as it is always a good time. Good job! 👍👍👍

OMG I’m not crying, someone’s cutting onions

My gawd another page turner, Mel Dau you are a remarkable author that will definitely have your readers wanting more and more. I love everything about the Letos and how they come together for family and adding the Briggs was amazing. Cade is bae and he deserved Analise and she deserved him and he had to continue to show her why. That Bethany and Big Willow was a hot mess, and karma definitely came back ten toes for sure. I couldn’t believe how selfish both of them was 🤦🏾‍♀️. That ending really had me about to cry and the talk Analise had with Cadence 😍😍😍.

Great read

That Bethany was a hot mess! She was just wow and the baby daddy was even worse. Karma handed her a bad hand. I love that everybody got their happy ending.

This was a very enjoyable read. I liked that second chance at love concept. I loved the Leota family cross over. Cade was a character that we would hope to encounter when looking for love or when a relationship n3eds to end. He was no nonsense. There was quite a bit of movement in the story as well. Good job.

She does it yet again. I’ve never read a book quite like this. Where I’ve got to see karma truly give a person what they truly truly deserve. And all I can say is thank you!

My Peace

First, as soon as I saw Mel Dau had dropped a new one, I immediately downloaded it bc it was surely going to be bumped up to my next read. This author is among very few on my list that when she puts out her brilliance for us to read, I'm on it ASAP! This, as most of her books are, was another Mel Dau banger. So great.

I absolutely LOVED Cade. Even though he didn't feel like his wife, now ex, was being all that he needed, he still made an effort to please and appease her. He was no pushover, yet even with her having her own business and funds, he made sure she didn't go without. She fumbled the hell out of that bag, literally. Not only did she cheat on the man, for the stupidest reason, she ended up in the very predicament she didn't want to be in, pregnant. Then, the icing on this crappy cake was that her side dude/baby daddy was only messing with her to teach her a lesson and mess up her entire life, which he and her so called best friend did beyond successfully. Now she looking stupid and stuck 😒. Karma is sitting heavy on her and boy is she not letting up😏.

Even in all that happened, Cade took the time to mourn his marriage, then moved on. Once he set his sights on Analise, it was a wrap. I like that he made sure to let her know that she wasn't beneath him, just bc she didn't have or come from wealth. He respected her as the strong woman and mother she was. I love how he made sure she was safe with him and so was her daughter. I would've loved more on him bonding with Tsia, yet I get she is a teen and hanging with your stepdad isn't the move. Either way, he loved her as his own and soon, she'll be just that.

While we're on the teens, I loved the bond that Cades sister, Cadence and Prue and Hemi Leota daughter, Michelle have. Then to take up for Tsia and bring her into the fold was beyond heartwarming. I loved these 3 young ladies bond and hope we get more on them in future books.

Analise was a sweetheart. The way she bonded with the Leota wives and even Michelle so fast, spoke to her character bc even with a large family, they didn't take to just anyone too fast. I love that Prue and the other wives, including Connie, did the same as Cade did with letting Ana know she was in good company and many of them came from the same humble beginnings as she did. Gotta love the Leota crew.

I absolutely loved that Ana wasn't willing to sacrifice her peace, or her daughters, for anyone, including Cade. He respected her wanting her peace and ensured he was a piece to that. Ana is the type of person you want in your corner and I'm glad she's surrounded and loved by such a humble and loyal group.

I forgot about some of the Leota spouses and how they all started. I might have to go back and refresh my memory. Although it was broken down briefly, I'm glad Mel Dau recaps the whole Hemi/Prue/Connie/Michelle situation.

There's always some humor in her books, so I was glad to get it in this one and from the Leota men nonetheless. Gotta love em.

Another Mel Dau banger for sure. Great read. Highly recommend.

3.5 Wild Stars!!!

This was a wild and crazy intense read. Definitely one of those that has you shouting and talking out loud. There were passages and entire chapters even that I had to read to my family because they were so wild and messy. But all in all, I really enjoyed this and couldn’t put it down.

The premise is that Cade is in a somewhat toxic marriage when his life changes and he needs to take in his teenage sister. His pampered wife isn’t here for this change as she’s never wanted kids. This is the beginning of wild revelations coming out about their marriage. Meanwhile, found family and strengthened friendships abound to pick up the pieces when the worst happens.

This is my first book by this author and I definitely want to read more. The plot was wild, and messy and wacky and emotional but overall enjoyable. The author linked the places (restaurants) etc mentioned in case that’s your thing… I think this definitely had some editing issues with incomplete sentences, missing words, changing tenses but the story itself was so compelling that it was easy to get the sense of what was meant and to keep it pushing. That said, to me, the story deserved better proofing/editing. This was a good intro to this author’s work and I plan to definitely check out more from them!

Another great piece!!

Its soo tough to write a review for such an awesome read. The plot and characters were great. It was a love story that contained just a hint of drama. It's always great to check in with the Leotas. They are a wild bunch. Ana and Cade were made for each other they Proved that love is definitely better the second time around. Karma paid Bethany several visits😂😛 I loved the way everybody loved the girls. I would love to hear from the girls in the future. Great job!!!

This book I really loved for the drama of it but Cade was not my type of guy. I think I like them a little bit more rough around the edges so this was something where he was attractive to me but not that GUY in the way some other heroes are! Still love a HEA though.

good story but

Spoilers:

I honestly don’t think Bethany deserved to be the only one to get karma. Personally I think Trinity and her cousin deserved some too. Trinity could’ve just caused her to lose her marriage and all the money she would’ve originally got with a divorce and that was enough karma, wasn’t like Cade didn’t see all the red flags so he wasn’t too surprised. Hell he knew about 2 abortions and stayed. Katrell deserved some of the same karma Bethany had to eat. He basically sold his daughter too and personally brought her into the world with someone he knew wouldn’t care for her and that he himself wouldn’t even care for her. Yet he got money out of it? If Bethany wasn’t so stupid she wouldn’t have lost out. All she had to do was have a lawyer present for the adoption process or got half upfront before signing the papers so at least she would’ve got reimbursed for paying her baby daddy. Also, I know they were desperate but that adoption couple should be ashamed too. I would’ve chosen another couple to be honest. Anyway this might not be a popular opinion but oh well.

Rating 4.5⭐️ Deep sigh this story had layers on layers. Let me go ahead and get this out of the way Analise is pure light, the kind of woman who’s been through hell and still chooses softness, strength and peace for herself and her daughter. 🫶🏾 BUT let’s be real… Bethany stole my attention in the worst way. Imagine fumbling a man who handed you the world because you complained about time, then cheated on the very man who wanted you beside him always. Bethany had her own bag but Cade still ensured she wanted for nothing. She doesn't want kids say less what his wife wants she gets. This woman put her hand on his and said hold on don't you want to consult me first before you adopt your sister. Be so fckn for real!!! Their parents just died and she's screaming we said we don't want kids. Bihhhhh Cadence is 15 years old. Bethany ran my pressure through the roof. Cade loved loudly and intentionally and watching karma spin Bethany like a washing machine on high was painfully satisfying. This book is messy, emotional and full of lessons about peace, choices and consequences.

Beautiful Read

I absolutely loved this story it showed how no matter the adversity God has a way blessing us in his timing. Analise had experienced a lot early on in life getting pregnant at a young age, being abandoned by her mom and later finding out her daughters father secret life he was living after his death. Moving to a new state to start over put her in the path of Cade who was going through hardships in his marriage to Bethany who was self centered, a gold digger and cheater. During all of this he loses his parents and has to raise his teenaged sister which his wife absolutely despises for no apparent reason other than she is a child. In the midst of all this drama Cade and Analise fell in love and created their own sense of peace together. Mel Dau you never cease to amaze me with they passion that you put into your story telling I am definitely a fan and will continue to recommend your books to my friends and family that are avid readers…

OMG!!! I actually have tears 😭 …. Family is everything

WOW!!!! Pieces of my peace is just beautiful and so powerful. I have always believed in Karma, and this story had it tenfold without shootings, drive by or straight up gangsters. This was every day life situations and extremely relatable.
This is a MS. Mel Dau work which means reviewing it is truly just technicality because unless her editor is not in concurrence with her, there are very few errors; so a review in my view is always a 5 star affair!!!!🤩🤩
Cade was bae, Annalise was perfect, Tsia Michele and Cadence were the 3 bomb musketeers, the Leotas were also perfect. Bethany was so wrong on so many levels but was so rewarded by Karma while Big Willow was just pathetic and also rewarded by Karma.
Now please, please, please MS. Dau give me another one soon… I am going to check out the new one you put out of this fantasy (way out of my genre and yours) and see how it is!!!!

Growing Family and Love

With each book I read these couples get better and better!!!…Analise is a woman of great strength and love, especially for her daughter!!!…
Bethany stressed my nerves and was the prime example of selfish and never satisfied!!!…Karma definitely stayed by her side and she got everything she had coming!!!…
Cade’s character spk BDE and family united!!!…I love that he didn’t hesitate to say that his sister was now his responsibility and he wasn’t accepting anyone saying anything different!!!…
I love how Michelle and Cadence stood up for Gia and didn’t make her feel less than because her family money was not like their family money!!!…Those girls saw a person and friend when they saw Gia and I love how they loved and protected her!!!…
I loved everything about this book!!!…It was written so well and the personality of the characters is very relatable!!!…
Cade and Analise love made me smile!!!…

MASTERPIECE
Loved everything about this. It gave me everything I didn’t know I needed. First let’s start off with that wife of his or ex wife shall I say. Bethany was a total bitch but she quickly got a reality check when things didn’t go her way. She got eveything she deserved because sis did way toooo much. She didn’t appreciate what she had until it was gone.
Now CADEEEE is definitely a Boss Babe. The way his patience ran with Beth is unbelievable. But he has such a good heart so I can understand why the way he did things in the order of what was done. I love how family oriented they were. They made my heart melt. When Cade met his true love of his life everything was up From now. He truly got his fairy tale ending. I love that for him. He deserve everything and more. Love always wins. ❤️

It did not take long for Bethany to get on my nerves. She sent audacity and selfish to another level of low. Cade definitely did not deserve the disrespect Bethany dealt him. This is a fast paced story, almost feels rushed. I understand the backstory is long so Mel Dau was trying to pack it all in. To do this story justice I would have enjoyed all the words and pages it would have taken to even the transitions. Once Bethany was exposed everything happened in warp speed and I could not appreciate the development of Cade and Annalise. The prologue has Cade expressing his undying love and commitment to his wife, but how he handled the resolution to her actions was emotionless. No heartbreak or sadness. I love how the Leota family embraced and included the Briggs and Winslows.

Great story

This author never disappoints with me with her stories
This one about about Cade and Ana was awesome
They both provided pieces of peace each other needed and didn’t realize
It is a beautiful love story
There is drama and betrayal, grief, friendship and karma
Bethany gets what she deserves in the story and you can’t feel sorry for her
Ana’s mother meets karma as well
This story has some life lessons in it and the reader should glean from them
As always Mel leaves us feeling good at the end and hating to say goodbye to these relatable characters she created
A very enjoyable read

Awesome Read

Cade deserved nothing but the happiness he found once he met Analisse and begin getting to know her. Bethany was selfish and treated him bad, as well as Cadance. As if losing her parents wasn't enough, she had to put up with Bethany and her attitude towards her after she moved in with them. Cade getting rid of her was the best thing he ever did. Ana was skeptical about being a rebound, but she was anything but! She and Tsia fit right in with the ladies they met. Cade fell instantly and hard for Ana. He recognized the peace she brought to his life. She gave him everything he knew he could never have with Bethany, including happiness! Awesome read!

this had all the Tea and Peace

Where do I start this book all over the place cried, laughed, cheered and cussed. Cade was a good guy a protector and provider with some BDE bug Bethany was a shallow miserable witch who didn’t appreciate what she had and the way she treated people came back to bite her what her supposed best friend and Katrell did was karma x10 but a little overboard and Analise just wanted stability love and a piece of peace in her life and she found it with Cade when you know you know….Mel Dau your catalog is awesome

cute (spoilers)

This was my first read by this Author! I’ll definitely look for more books by her! This author really wrote the heck out of karma in this book. Bethany was a dirt rock and she got hers handed to her in the worst way! Her baby daddy was scum too 😂😂😂
Let me not fail to mention Big Willow with her awful self! Them church folk be the ones you gotta watch.
Loved the love between Annalise and Cade. Loved the family dynamics and love shown to Tsaia by Michelle and Cadence. This was a cute short story!

simply amazing!!

I absolutely love the Leota family!!! It’s not like they are a huge family on their own but they are constantly adding more people to the mix.

Cade and Analise’s love story was fast paced but we you find the one meant for you after dealing with the one that wasn’t, love comes easily.

They met because of their daughter and sister and once the girls became friends the rest was history.

If you love a good sports romance but from the agent’s perspective, you are going to love this book!!!

pieces of my peace yes

Yes yes and yes again I don’t know where to start as this story is so relatable to many of us I’m sure I hate that ole girl could have potentially ruined a good man by being so trifling but like they say what God has for you is for you I’m glad he met someone to bring out the absolute best I’m happy to see a story of a good man being taken advantage of as we read about men dogging women all the time this was an absolute great read

Beautiful story

I just love the Leota Family but I fell in love with The Briggs as well. This story was truly inspiring & has the perfect title pieces of my peace. CADE is that MAN! he made sure he handled business & his home I loved that he moved as a unit with his wife. Analise deserved her happily ever after so glad she got that & that Bethany got what she deserved. Hope they make a appearance again soon.

Divine organized

What's for you is for you and God blessed Cade and Analise in his timing. They both had to go through their own things but when the stars align and drop effortlessly into place, you know it is divine organized. This story also reminds you to be careful of who you let in your circle and how you treat people. You never know when people have been waiting for the best time to drop receipts to hurt you and Bethany got an endless supply thrown at her.

A Piece of My Peace

Loved it, Kudos to the author👏👏👏👏. Wish I could give this 10 stars. Good to catch up with The Leotas. ( Characters from previous books). Loved how the hero loved on Analise and her daughter. Cade was a total alpha, sex scenes were super🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Bethany, Katrell, Trinity, and Big Willow was low down dirty. This book touch on greed, selfishness, jealousy, dysfunctional relationships, and families. Great job Mel. Keep em coming.
