Some interesting information on the Roman occupation of South West Scotland in the first half of the book while the second half lists the various sites that the Antonine Wall and associated forts, fortlets etc can still be seen.

Includes a rating system to identify how hard a site is to access and how well preserved it is.

Personally, I was hoping for a little more info on Lurg Moor, a site local to me, but understand there just might not be enough information to say much more.

The book was also published in 1980 and so may well be out of date in many respects in terms of what can still be viewed and in what condition, as well as not having up-to-date details on finds since publication.
