I've been buying and reading this annual baseball book since 1994. My basement shelves are filled with these, plus they used to produce both Minor and Major League Handbooks and I bought both. I used to buy it for the stats, but the internet has made most of those widely available. Now I buy it because I like the short essays that accompany many of the specialized stats -- and I like to hold a book in my hands while I read those essays and study those stats.
This year's book was somewhat disappointing in that I found numerous top prospects that do not receive projections for 2023: Arias CLE, Arranda TB, Baty NYM, Benson CLE/CIN, Brennan CLE, Burleson STL, Campusano SD, K Carpenter DET, J Diaz OAK, Y Diaz HOU, Florial NYY, Freeman CLE, Keidler DET, Outman LAD, E Rosario SD, Stowers BAL, Vargas, LAD, Vientos NYM and Wallner MIN.
There's a decent chance that this list includes a couple of guys who will finish in the top 5 for rookie of the year in each league. I think at least half are currently in the majors in April 2023.
