Elemental Magic Holidays!

The book gives you everything you want in a standalone prequel to the Exiled Elementals Series. You get a glimpse of Nhari’s life after two years in exile. The Realm of the Exile is a prison territory, yet children and young teens are forced to live there on their own. Nhari is their protector along with Tiago and Kasha. This book has the best examples of elemental magic that I’ve seen. It’s original, graphic, and very well done. You can certainly see the dystopian backdrop and the romantic interplay between demigods, elementals, and bioengineered humans. Vigot and Tiago are amazing male characters in this book series. If you need book boyfriends, this series has them. I also loved the friendship bonds that the book shows. There are enemies to lovers and chosen one tropes. There are happy ever after friendships that draw you into the story. The fall harvest festival and the full moon vibe are perfect backdrops for a holiday adventure. I got the paperback book with imaginative moon imaged pages. This is a must read any time of the year, especially the fall holiday season.

Wonderful Holiday-Themed Story! The cast of characters from the Exiled Elementals Series are truly a delightful group to follow. The story unfolds with scenes of Nhari during her time in exile. She has amazing elemental talents that she uses to save the elemental children. The demigods rule the Realm of the Exiled and have taken an interest in the beautiful elementals. Wow, I’m already afraid! There’s a full moon and a fall harvest festival! Great holiday-themed book that is short and sweet.

You learn more about the dangers living in the Realm of the Exiled and where it is located on the best fantasy map that I’ve seen. The epic adventure is only beginning as you learn that the civilized world is looking for Nhari. The first book in the series, Exiled No More, will shed light on why they want her. Finally, there is a great romance brewing and epic battles on the horizon. I love the multiple characters and the chance to understand their POV. This remains one of my favorite fantasy series!

3.5 ⭐️

This is my first time reading anything from T.L. Price. I was honored to read her ARC for the prequel to her Exiled No More series. I usually like to read the prequels to books before starting a series, especially when it is a novella. I really liked the concept of the fantasy world she built and the magical aspects.
I really did like her characters at their core. She had strong female characters with complicated backgrounds that get alluded to. Enter a morally grey character, my interest doubled. Like I said, I haven’t read the other books so I’m hoping the backstories get flushed out more there.
But there were times that I didn’t know which character we were following. When doing different POVs, it is helpful to me (whether it is in the first person or third) to have a clear indication that we are switching POVs. Without the knowledge of the first book, it was helpful to see the map at the beginning of the book to get a feel for where everything was.
Overall, it was a decent urban fantasy book that I would continue to read. The world building and characters created were by far my favorite. I grew an attachment to them that makes me want to know how their stories will end.

This is my first time reading anything from T.L. Price. While I don't usually like to read the prequels before starting a series, I think reading this one first really got me interested in reading the series itself. This novella is set three years before the first installment of the series, featuring Nhari's life as an exiled elemental child.

Nhari, Kasha, and Tiago are elemental children, with each having different elemental powers. They has been discarded on the island abandoned by those most would consider family. Taking refuge on the Realm of the Exiled, a land that has been brutal and unforgiving.

When Nhari meets demigod Vigot, the ruler of the Realm of the Exiled, Nhari is drawn to him, but Tiago and Kasha, they become suspicious of what Vigot is really up to, demigods aren't know for their kindness, and they are worried he has an ulterior motive.

In this novella we get alot of backstory, with a few loose ends that I think and hope are tied up within the series. Overall, the novelette really got me excited to read the series, and I can't wait to read more.

Thank you to the author T.L Price and the publisher Jazzy Publications for a copy of the novella in order to review.

ARC review: Realm of the Exiled by T.L. Price (releases 9/27/2022)
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This prequel novelette is set three years before the main series, and features Nhari’s life in exile. It is a standalone book and can be read in any order.

I saw that this author’s books are good for people who like The Hunger Games, Divergent, etc so I immediately knew I had to read it! I haven’t read the first two books, Exiled No More or Enviro-Scapes, but this book is a stand-alone and I enjoyed it! I am excited to read the rest of the series after reading this prequel novelette because it teases at so many things that I’m sure are gone into more depth on later. The world in this series is intriguing and exciting to me and I only wish I knew more - this is a standalone, but being a novelette, I felt like I wasn’t given quite enough background at times. Most likely, my questions are answered in books one and two.

I definitely recommend checking out this book and the rest of the Exiled Elementals series!

I received an advance review copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Thank you T.L. Price and Jazzy Publications PA for the opportunity to be part of the ARC team for this release!

Realm Of The Exiled

4.5/5

I am new to the fantasy genre, which is a struggle for me as I try to include myself into it. But this novelette was beautiful!
It was short but did a lot of justice. I personally began drawn to the back towards the middle. I was drawn to the scenes and imagining the scenes in front of me.

I personally enjoyed it, I would have enjoyed it even more if it was in first person and not third person. Reading third person is out of my comfort zone and slightly a struggle for me to grasp because of the scenes jumping. I love how I get to go into each person's mind individually through first person.

This novelette was also filled with mysteries and surprises throughout the pages I read. The details written about each character, describing things that are out of this world and taking the time to draw and create a map! Wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful!
I appreciate this piece of work and I hope I get a chance to read more of your work.

Thank you for giving me the chance to read this novel!

Realm of the Exiled is the prequel for the Exiled Elemental Series by T. L. Price. I enjoyed the holiday-inspired feel of this book. The events of the prequel are set during the Harvest Festival and offers a look into Nhari’s life and the Realm of the Exiles before the events of the first book. I really like Nhari as a character and I enjoyed spending more time with her in the prequel.

I already read book 1 and 2 but I had to check the prequel. Realm of the Exiled (I love the cover by the way). This story starts only two years after Nhari is exiled. You learn more about the world and get to discover it.

If you haven't read her books yet, this is a great introduction that will leave you wanting more! If you're curious about T.L. Price, then go ahead! This prequel is definitely for you 🥰

Nicely done and I will be reading book 3 too

This little novella was awesome! A perfect way to learn the background before I start the book Exiled No More. You can tell there will be a main focal point in the new book but this novella definitely shows you the different characters’ personalities very well. The word building in this novella is huge for being less than 100 pages! Definitely worth the read.

This book was awesome and had very vivid character visuals as well as the scenes. I adored the description on how their powers work and the prequel helps you feel like your apart of their family. Also it's holiday themed and not to long. I can't wait to read the next books as I feel that I need to know how the gang gets along going further.

Overloads, Guardians, Exiles. All for the former Earth as we know it. The author has created an inteersting triangle and it is interesting to know where the author is taking us but I hope I am included because I think it will be an impressive story.

Realm of Exile is the prequel to the Exiled Elements series. It’s fast pace, in depth world building is amazing but not really my cup of tea. Good for fans of Percy Jackson or even Wednesday. A good book, but not I think one for me.

The prequel novella to the series lays the groundwork to understand more the reasons behind Nhari's exile. I found it a great addition with more explanation of the vast lore and the characters.

If you have read the first book of the series, this little novelette will give you some extra history about Nhari, Kasha and Tiago. If you have not read the first book in this series, this is a great place to start!

Nhari, Kasha, and Tiago are close friends and elementals, each having different powers. All three have a reason why they live on the Realm of the Exiled, a harsh and unforgiving island.
When Nhari meets demigod Vigot, the ruler of the Realm of the Exiled, Tiago and Kasha become suspicious and worried.

While this novelette is short, it draws you in quickly and keeps your attention the entire time. T. L. Price spends time in this story with character building. We learn a little bit of the history of these three and the growth of their friendships. There are a few loose ends in this novelette, that I am hoping will be cleared up in book one, Exiled No More. I do think this is a great start to what could be a fantastic series. Overall, I did enjoy this novelette and I look forward to reading the series.

Thank you T. L. Price and Jazzy Publications for sending me this ARC. I enjoyed the story quite a bit and look forward to helping the team!

a very intriguing sneak peek for the series

This book introduces the world of the Exiled Elementals to new readers. It provides glimpses of the different cultures and conflicts, from the elementals themselves to those conspiring to change the world order, and all the glimpses together are unquestionably intriguing and provoke so much curiosity about what will happen next.
I do have a couple of reservations: I wish there was more about the festivals! The characters sound happy, and I wanted to keep reading about that. Second, the writing seemed a little rushed, with some confusing sentences and jumps in viewpoints I wasn’t anticipating, and the writing style itself was not my preferred one. However, this wasn’t enough to actually detract from my engagement with the characters and my curiosity about what happens next. I read the book almost in one sitting — and I have a feeling I’ll read the next two books just as quickly when I begin them.
Overall, I definitely recommend — the four stars is no idle rating — and look forward to the next books.
