Nevah: A night out with my girlfriends flipped my boring life on its head, and I ended up in the hands of a sexy mob boss who was the living manifestation of danger. The only fix to the problem I stepped into left me anchored to Primo DeLuca, who declared we were in a relationship before he even knew my name.

Primo: The last thing you’re supposed to do when murder and mayhem are nipping at your back, is take on a relationship. But I’d never been one to take the easy way out of a situation. With bullets flying, bodies dropping, and murderous schemes unfolding all around us, I was ready to torment the devil and run hell before I let anyone take Nevah away from me.

Note: This is the Author's Cut of Primo DeLuca, from the Bestselling Savage Bloodline Mafia Collection. Additional Scenes have been added for your reading pleasure.

Warning: This book is an interracial romance that contains graphic violence and strong sexual content. It is intended for adults. If you are easily offended or squeamish about harsh or demeaning language, murder, and violence, this is not the book for you.

Primo is a S⃐a⃐v⃐a⃐g⃐e⃐

I enjoyed 𝐾𝑒𝑡𝑎 𝐾𝑒𝑛𝑑𝑟𝑖𝑐𝑘'𝑠 installment of the 𝑺𝒂𝒗𝒂𝒈𝒆 𝑩𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒅𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆 series as a standalone. I found this story to be well-balanced with solid characters. Nevah Moore had no clue that she would walk in on a meeting that would change her life. Primo DeLuca and his men were trying to figure out the DeLuca who wanted him dead. When an unmistakable force unexpectedly walked into it, Nevah. The chemistry, from my perspective, is undeniable between Primo and Nevah. When push comes to shove, Nevah proves that she is the woman for Primo even though he wasn’t looking for one.

There are several more of the standalone stories I plan to read.

Another DeLuca Alpha

The minute he saw her he claimed her as his own… was it to protect her or was it because he wanted her?! I would say both and believe me, Primo would agree with me.
Nehah was in pickle, stumbled upon something she shouldn’t and didn’t know what to do, until the brooding gorgeous man reached out his hand and claimed her… She is no punk, she is a bad*ss and the perfect match for Primo, the Capo. Too bad some underestimated her.
Great read!!

Wow🔥🔥🔥
I loved this storyline and the main two characters. Primo was vicious as hell but I loved him. I think his cousin the priest was just as crazy. I would recommend

A brilliant addition to the Savage Bloodline collection

Primo was brutal, fair and a handsome DeLuca, his savagery was undeniable when he was killing all that were coming for hum. I loved Nevah and her friends, they were funny and feisty.
The chemistry between Primo and Nevah was fire and you could feel it from their first meeting. A fantastic story, looking forward to seeing more from these two.

She stumbled into their business meeting by accident

The Malizioso, the top hitmen group, just tried to send Primo a warning that they were coming after him. He had to determine who and why a contract was out on him. Nevah was out with friends at Primo’s cousin’s club. She was looking for one of her wild free-wheeling girlfriends when she accidentally stepped into a meeting of a den of vipers who were trying to figure out who wanted their Capo, Primo dead.
Primo was instantly attracted to her and claimed her not even knowing her name. He knew that if he didn’t protect her, the mob men would do whatever they wanted to her. He didn’t understand what it was about this woman that had him breaking his own rules. By claiming her, he was dragging her into his dangerous world and had to protect her. He could not afford to be distracted but she had all of his attention. There was some invisible force pulling them together.

Nevah was the more sedate of her friends Maya and Tracey. She was the one with the “ I don’t give a damn about a relationship” friend. But she grew up rough in an area of St Louis called The Grind. She’d been brought up by an abusive drug-addicted mother who had had a stroke at a young age and now relied on Nevah to take care of her. She put up a fight to get back to her life but Primo knew she was in danger and relied on his childhood friends and cousins Zaire and twins Alesso and Aurelio to protect her while he set a trap for his would-be assassins in his digital state of the art technologically equipped home. His assailants had no chance of standing against “Hades” and his hidden rooms and trap doors. But as always, the traitors are always the ones you least expect. The DeLuca rat was working with another family to take over DeLuca territory. The rat wanted Primo and would do anything to get him but Nevah stood in the way. That was the rat’s undoing as Nevah learned to brawl in the streets and stood on her own. She’s just solved a problem for the DeLuca family and didn't know it. She would fit into the family just fine as a DeLuca wife.

*** Some Spoilers ***
After reading this 2nd DeLuca book I do believe the series name Savage Bloodline is justified.

Primo is a brutal savage and not in a romantic way. Yes, there is romance here, but it's overshadowed by the savagery of Primo's revenge. Primo is Capo in the DeLuca organization. Someone has put a contract on him and hired the Malizioso's for the job. The Malizioso's are a notorious group known to warn their targets in advance to make it a better hunt. Primo wants to find out who is behind the contract and end them.... he is not about to die.

Primo's ingenuities' keeps him alive as he sets elaborate traps straight out of a James Bond movie to capture and torture his enemies for information.
Primo captured one of his enemies when he fell through a trapped door into a fully contained space with a magnetic floor. The floor was also lined with burners that emitted hot flames and sprayers that soaked him with accelerant. You can guess what happened when Primo was not happy with the answers he was getting. Primo built an electrical field into the floor of his living room and electrocuted two hitmen who rappelled into his house. He caught another one in a razor wire net and another in some kind of wall of glue. As merciless as dying in one of his traps was, it was worse to survive. His method of torture is archaic savage brutality. His tortured enemy can only scream in agony; the pain is too great to beg for death.

Oh, and let's not ignore our dear Father Romigi and his lead covered bible that he uses to hand whip enemies of his Capo, Primo. Father Romigi is the creator of some of these traps that Primo uses. They are all blood thirsty savages.

I really don't know what to say about this book. Yes, there is romance, and the love scenes are written well but after completing the book what stands out is the violence, not the romance. I guess I would have liked no instalove and more slow burn love to develop the relationship between Primo and Nevah. Overall though it wasn't a bad read, just not the best read.

Phenomenal

Gripping! Oh my this is a phenomenal story of love vengeance and survival. It engages your mind like you can't believe! Okay I need to take a breath so that I can tell you how much I enjoyed and got so caught up in reading this story. Primo and Nevah are opposites that wasn't supposed to meet but as the forces to be would have it they did. I wish I could articulate how well written and crafted this book is. It's another marvelous story that's full of action vengeance and suspense in the DeLucas Savage Bloodline. I really enjoy characters that loyalty and togetherness are the first rule in the family. I guarantee that you will be blown away by this wonderful book it's so incredible that stole my heart from the very beginning! There's love with a tumultuous relationship between Primo and Nevah the emotional journey is full of suspense, resentment, and a sizzling attraction!"When you put all this together the drama with all emotional attachment is intriguing and captivating its what makes each chapter something extraordinary. The powerful combination of mayhem and excitement along with great chemistry and having a mafia vibe is thrilling and this story had me talking to these characters because of the craziness some have. I'm so excited to read more of this series although there are multiple authors they all seem to tell a story that you can't stop reading. WOW I have say I see a lot more sleepless night ahead as I read all the books in the Savage Bloodline series. There's lot more Exciting and Superb storytelling from these authors. Happy Reading I know you will enjoy every moment of this story and all of the other stories in this series.

Ignored my daily call with my mom to finish!

There was so much action in this story. I think Keta did a great job at bringing the scenes to life. It was like watching it play out on TV. A few scenes were so "imaginative" in their violence, I had to give Keta an internal side-eye AND fist bump for courageously penning them to paper.
I bristled at the immediate nature of Primo and Nevah's connection at first. Plus, for the 1st few chapters, I kept thinking, "Why didn't they have men posted outside of the office door?" But it worked in the end.
I loved that a good portion of the story telling was from Primo's perspective. Nevah is a good character, but I want to know more about the secret life and thoughts of a mobster/assassin. That's the novelty and intrigue pushing the story forward for me. I see that this is Keta's style, and I'm here for it.
However, I think the reuse of phrases and words across different books is jarring. Like, "the safest and most dangerous place" is with the male lead. Sure, it has an impact for THESE characters, but when it's reused for each story, it cheapens the next time it's encountered. Minimal typos or grammatical errors were appreciated.

Just to preface this, I purchased the book as a blind-date-with-a-book directly from the author from a TikTok video. I had heard some good things about her writing and thought this would be a great way to try out a new author. The opinion is mine and should not stop you from reading if this is your cup of tea.

I really, really wish I hadn't.

The whole story from the first introduction to Primo to the ending happens over approximately 2 months. Now, the first introduction of Primo and Nevah is a little iffy, but ok, I can see it happening. The rest of the book is just one crazy ride. There is not a lot of romance ( she is all in within like 72 hours max), and the spice isn't there ( one "sex" scene and a few mentions), but if you want fantastical violence and unbelievable scenarios, then dive right in.

I don't usually write in my books, but this one had me jotting down things left and right!!!

Surprisingly, I expected a lil more from this author... don't get me wrong, the story was full of action, which I loved, and Primo's Savagery was definitely shown in his character (true Savage beast). Maybe it was the meeting of the two characters... to fast, too soon ... but I did like them together. I also felt like something's were left in the air... Primo slight doubt in Nevah could've been discussed or why she flinched from him, which he pointed out. Overall, I loved the action and suspense, which is normal for Kita K, but due to this being a novella, maybe more of the story should've been used towards the two main characters.

Einstein said nothing with mass can go faster than light… but he clearly never saw a Deluca man falling for his woman. I’m not a big fan of insta-love (except in a few rare cases). I just don’t think you can know someone’s “the one” from a single glance.

Also, my second issue with the writing is the balance between dialogue and inner monologue. It should definitely be more dialogue and less of the “what’s going on in their heads.” Don’t get me wrong I do like knowing their thoughts but not when it’s four paragraphs of inner monologue followed by just one line of dialogue. That feels rough.

Dnf. I tried to let those two things slide, but couldn’t keep me hooked.

I like Primo!

This book was story but so fun and crazy! I like to see more from the group that is the Assassins of the family for they seem to be a whole group that the new Don don't know about an boy the fun it is going to be when he finds out that his grandfather had more power then he let people know about, plus he could have kill off a lot of his family with none being the wiser about who did it! Oh these books have just gotten even better, oh yeah please tell me there is a series going in make of Deluca family assassins. Happy reading😊.

Read

Death at every turn. Nevah and Primo met accidentally but they recognized one another without ever meeting.
She had a lived a fierce life and survived and was considered successful.
He was the Capo of St. Louis trying to stay alive at every turn.
He landed in St. Louis to fight off death at every turn. He didn't know that the traitor was in his family but he soon found out.
His men protected him and were loyal without fail.
A wrong turn looking for her friend had Nevah walking in to the lion's den.
Read the twist and turns that gave way to acceptance and love.

SEX, ACTION, & INTRIGUE

Keta Kendrick is notorious for her way of having non-stop action interwoven in a romance between two people. I literally stopped reading in the middle of Primo in the SAVAGE BLOODLINE anthology to start all over and read this instead. I am glad I did.

Fine ass PRIMO DELUCA, is a SAVAGE you can’t help but fall for, and homegirl NEVAH is his perfect match. She is sweet, kind, which just enough hood.

Enjoyed this immensely. I am looking forward to BRIZIO Getting his story, dare I say with MAYA.🤔🤔

the deluca series is fantastic concept

I love the idea of several authors coming together to write about one family. So much fun.

That being said, this one was not a favorite of mine. I was missing the romance. I felt like there were too many descriptions of torture. They felt unnecessary too. I wish we spent more time on Primo and Nevah getting to know each other, especially since they JUST met.

Glad this series is in my Collection

I am so loving this series, and Nevah makes me think of my daughter a true badass. Back in the day I was crazy, I’ve mellow out, but I still have my back up. The things Nevah, has done to survive, not giving up on life but fighting for it. Primo just being a true crazy Alpha was a big turn on in my book. Every women what’s a man that will have your back like that. I know I will be re-reading this whole series, over and over.

Another good book in the series

I've enjoyed this series a lot. I've skipped over some of the books but overall there are some gems in here.

There's more action than romance in this book but it was interesting and kept my attention. I liked both Primo and Nevah (although Primo was definitely dark and slighty crazy). I'm not usually a fan of insta-love but it worked here. I loved how strong Nevah was. She's going to be a great mafia wife.

Nevah and Primo

They met by happenstance,Nevah looking for her friend Maya walked in on something not meant for her to see..
Primo felt a immediate connection towards this woman and declared in front of his family that she was his…There’s a war brewing for the DeLuca family and she is caught right in the middle..
Primo is a savage and he is willing to do whatever it takes to keep her safe…

Savagery ain't always Blood!!!!

Keta, Keta, Keta, Keta!!!!!!!

There are truly no words about how this story ended up. Primo presented as hard with an untouchable heart until he set eyes on Nevah (Haven spelled backward.. hhhhmmmmm wonder if that was intended???!!) Nehav was a woman who grew up in hell with the understanding of loyalty and code and knew that accepting the actions is accepting the consequences. The climax was like what...how.. then, as it all comes to my head, you realize the clues were there.

Keta, your ability to give breadcrumbs that you can not connect til climax is criminally excellent!!! Wel written, my Sista, well written!!!!

True Savage

This was oh so good! And Primo definitely proved to be the savage that he is. As this series progresses I swear the DeLuca men become more brutal and calculating. My favorite part of this book was that Naveh wasn’t an easy or naive target. She took things as they came and didn’t stupid things like leave or throw tantrums in the face of danger. Her and Primo were well matched for sure. Can’t wait to read about Brizio and Maya! On to the next DeLuca in the series!

Nevah, the interrupter

the first time, she stumbled into his private meeting, he pretended to know her. trying to save her life. and trying to keep her safe and remain a gentleman was hard for Primo. until they crossed that line. and then she was part of the mafia world. his world. and when she found the rat and was forced to kill it, the Deluca family was over the moon, telling Primo that he needed to marry that one. and he did.

Short action packed read with a little bit of spice.
Primo the head of his group saves a woman by claimjng her as his girlfriend when she interrupted a meeting. I dont understand why the door wasnt lockeed.

Nevah is out with her friends. She is searching for one of them when she iterrupts a private meeting.

Primo claims her to protect her. Naveh senses this and goes along with it. They are attracted to each other and make it work.

Well, if you read the Savage Bloodline collection, this book was part of that it, but if you don't have the collection, it is a good read.
There was some new content, but the outcome is the same
So was it worth reading again, not for me.
But I do enjoy the authors writing and defiantly looking forward to Brizio's story

This made my weekend

I absolutely love this book! It gave me such great characters to enjoy that I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. I loved how the women in the book weren’t simple and one-sided. This was a great start to my weekend and I will ended with the next book in the series.
