Rate this book
Since starting his winery in the Santa Ynez Valley, Harvey Sanderson attracts enemies with ruthless regularity. Plagued by Vineyard vandals, frustrated and unable to do anything to halt them. Harvey looks to the reluctant local sheriff for help. Claymore Pike, an agent for the California Bureau of Investigation, and Rhonda Sample are in the valley for some fun and wine tasting; but, when the case becomes too much for the sheriff's overworked staff. Claymore and Rhonda;s skills are severely tested. Simple Vandalism Turns to Murder... The murder weapon is missing, and with only a casual knowledge of the wine business or the local animosities, Clay and Rhonda must begin at ground zero. The list of suspects includes nearly everyone Harvey knew, including his own wife and his wife's cousin who has connections to the Mob. Add to the mix a French investor with his eye on Harvey's holdings as well as his wife. The more likely the suspect, the stronger their alibi. It's a do-or-die standoff in... Murder on the Vine.
