AWS Serverless IoT: Inexpensive IoT Projects to take you from Zero to AWS IoT Hero

Rate this book
AWS Serverless IoT is a friendly and approachable guide to getting started with IoT centric services on the AWS cloud. What exactly does that entail? The intended goal is for the reader to use either a real hardware device like the ESP32, ESP8266, or the Raspberry Pi to communicate to the AWS cloud, or the reader could use one of the free virtual devices explained in the book like MQTT.fx, a Bash script, or the MQTT test client to publish IoT data to AWS IoT Core.

The book covers various AWS IoT centric services such as IoT Core, Lambda, S3, QuickSight, SageMaker, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Timestream, WebSocket’s, IoT Analytics, as well as other AWS services.

The intent of the book is to be a hands-on experience, covering projects and activities using IoT centric services on AWS to make data lakes, fill databases, and use IoT sensor readings for visualizing and dashboarding on static websites hosted on AWS.

Who is this book designed I designated this book for the beginning to intermediate software developer who wants to learn more about IoT and cloud services. The book would also be suitable for the cloud developer new to IoT.

How best to learn IoT on You will learn best not by reading or studying but by “doing.” Therefore, I have designed this book for “doers”.
