This is a Clean Second Chance Romantic Suspense. The beginning just drops you right into the action and drama, but it was done really well. I got pulled into it right away, and I loved getting to know the characters. I figured out who was back all the craziness way before it was revealed, but that did not take away from me enjoying this book. This was a fast moving story with a ton of action and suspense with some romance put into it. I really loved the ending. I also love to say the cover of this book fits this story so well. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Love Inspired Suspense) or author (Sharon Dunn) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.
10 years ago a robbery featured Lila and Stuart dads leaving his dad dad and her dad missing but with newly uncovered evidence Lila might finally get the closure they need. The problem is that someone is trying to silence Lila with a few deadly attempts to stop them from looking further into what's going on letting them to believe there was someone else in the mix and needs to figure out what's going on and who is the person before they really take someone out.
Man this book was non-stop with the action and I definitely love that. There was just so much going on that it really kept me on my toes and had me never wanting to put this book down because I needed to know more. There was just so much twist and turns and when I thought things were starting to look okay of course they weren't. Aside from the whole person trying to silence them bit there was a slight look into Lila and Stuart relationship. Clearly they still had feelings for each other but Lila was only there to get their closure I mean she has a whole life where she was and it was interesting seeing how that would play out. This book was a clean romance which I appreciate. All around if you just love and miss through suspense books then you're going to really like this one I really enjoyed it.
Good, fast-paced whodunit with a second chance at romance trope. Lila left town when her father disappeared, suspected of being complicit in a bank robbery. Now she has returned, determined to close that door and prove her father’s innocence. She has to confront her former boyfriend Stewart Duncan, now the sheriff of the town. What Lila doesn’t know is that her own investigation is going to make someone anxious to get rid of her and they don’t care how they do it. The action is fast-paced and the characters are portrayed realistically. The fear Lila felt as she was being stalked was palpable. I enjoyed the book and highly recommend that others who want a quick read with all of the elements of a good mystery read this Love Inspired Suspense book. Disclaimer I won a copy of this book from the author via a contest online. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are my own.
Montana Cold Case Conspiracy is a suspense novel written by Sharon Dunn. This book is part of a series of books centered around characters from the same town, but it is not necessary to have read the other books in order to enjoy this one.
Summary: Lila Christie has always wanted to know what really happened the night of the bank robbery that took her father from her.
Everyone else has decided her father was to blame, and it even cause the end of her relationship with Stewart Duncan.
Now new evidence has come to light, and she’s back in town determined more than ever to discover the truth.
Will now-sheriff Stewart Duncan help her find out what really happened? Or is she on her own against an unknown killer who will do anything to stop her?
My Thoughts: I liked this book. It is definitely one where you just need to enjoy all the drama, action, and romance and not think too hard about the overall plot.
There are so many times where she almost gets killed, that it’s a bit unbelievable that she’s still alive.
If you can get past that however, it’s a fun ride of a read, and I liked the sweet romance too.
I would like to thank Harlequin for providing me with a free digital copy of this book in exchange for my review. Thank you!

You will need your jogging pants on to read this book. The action is non-stop from the beginning pages until literally the last page of the book. Lila Christie left home a long time ago, but she left home broken hearted and left behind the love of her life, Stewart Duncan.
Ten years ago a bank robbery left Stewart's father dead and Lila's father simply disappeared without a trace. Everyone in town believes that he shot his partner in crime and ran off with the loot. Lila has never believed her father capable of being a thief, much less killing someone. She has come back to town because the getaway car has been discovered. It was apparently abandoned on the side of the river and due to a mud slide , it as been covered up for 10 years. Stewart is the sheriff in town now, and he was heartbroken from their breakup as well, but he has a responsibility to keep everyone safe, so he has to put his personal feelings aside for a while.
Lila knows someone is out to stop her from finding out the truth about that fateful day, but Stewart thinks she may be a little over dramatic until the bullets start flying around him.
Both characters were strong, independent individuals. Lila is feisty one and gutsy as well. Stewart is a family man in that he stuck around to help his mom and family run their farm after his father's death. He is a good soul. The mystery was good and suspense filled. The action is constant as every time Lila leaves the four walls of a building or home, she ends up running for her life. The inspirational thread is handled with finesse and both parties have to learn to lean on their faith and give each other another chance. If you enjoy mystery with a little second chance romance mixed in, you will enjoy this book.
Thank you to Harlequin and NetGalley for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
y review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Montana Cold Case Conspiracy. I'm a big fan of Sharon's work. This is a great example of her intrigues. This story is well-written, action-packed, and full of faith. I know you are going to love it.
Lila Christie returns to Montan when her father's car is discovered. New evidence in the ten-year-old cold case. She went to her ex-fiance. Stewart's father had been involved in the robbery. He had been killed. She had to clear her father's name. Stewart had no desire to be involved. She is soon a target for the killer.
Sheriff Stewart Duncan had no desire to help with the cold case. His father had died in the robbery and her father had disappeared. They were both involved in the robbery. He couldn't dig all that up again, and Lila had left and he'd faced it alone. But Lila is in the cross-hairs, he can't let her be stalked.
A terrifying journey to keep one step ahead of the killer. God has a plan for these two, a plan for hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, a plan for peace and not for destruction. Give Him your heart and watch Him move in your life.
𝗠𝗬 𝗙𝗘𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦 I got this as an ARC from netgalley, all in exchange for an honest review of my thoughts. I absolutely adore harlequin love inspired suspense books. They are clean romance with no bad language and I never feel uncomfortable reading through the pages at any given time. While they can be a bit cheesy/cliche, they are always quick reads that have me invested and Sharon Dunn is one of the authors I enjoy that writes in this collection. For this book, in particular, the plot really intrigued me as it seemed quite different from others in this collection and it had me curious. I did manage to figure out who the “bad guy” was a little before the halfway point and I saw what seemed like obvious signs. There were some parts of this book that did not match up with things that happened a few pages before, but overall it was a good read, though the ending was a bit fast for me.

This was a great mystery. Lila and Stewart has a past history. They were engages at one time. Both of their father's are dead and Lila's father was blamed for Stewarts fathers death. Now Lila is reopening the case and someone doesn't want to truth to come out. That someone will do anything to stop them.
I was given this book by Love Inspired Suspense via NetGalley for an honest review. I was not compensated in any way .
Montana Cold Case Conspiracy by Sharon Dunn is a Love Inspired Suspense.
I loved the romance in this story. It’s a second chance romance with their fathers’ murder/disappearance between them. I loved the how the story began, the tension between them, the distrust and sparks. And then, as the story and danger progressed, so did their relationship. And there was lots of danger! I loved how the mystery unfolded, how determined Lila was to find answers and how Stewart changed over the course of the story. It all made this a page-turning read.
If you enjoy Love Inspired Suspense, this is a great read!

An action packed suspense that brings together Lila and her ex-fiancé Sheriff Stewart Duncan together as they fight to unravel the truth behind what drove them apart a decade ago.
A fast-paced read full of suspense as they work to stay ahead of the killer, I liked how this book brought Stewart and Lila back together and forced them to face their past. I liked that Stewart is very protective of Lila, as they remember what made them such a great couple so many years ago.
Overall, this was a quick and entertaining read with great characters that I was cheering for the whole time. Sometimes though it felt like most of their relationship was falling back on what was built ten years ago. I liked the themes of second chances in this action-packed read!
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Lila is determined to prove that her father was an innocent victim in the robbery that claimed the life of her ex-fiance's father. Stewart is angry and frustrated that Lila is back in town stirring up terrible memories and heartache. As Sheriff, he can't possibly believe that she has also stirred up something much more sinister. I received this book from Harlequin through NetGalley and this is my own unsolicited opinion. Author Sharon Dunn has done a good job inserting little pieces of evidence along with serious action in the plot. I love a mystery that challenges me to figure out 'who dun it'. I did figure the 'who' out. I really like this story and the unresolved personal issues between Haley and Stewart. It's a very good story and I recommend it as a clean mystery and romance.
A second chance romance with suspense and action thrown in. Lilia just wants answers to what happened to her father 10 years ago. What she isn't expecting is for someone to try and kill her the moment she comes back to town, or to have feelings for her old fiance, Stewart, to come into play. Enjoyed watching the romance blossom again while trying to stay alive as a killer first tries killing Lilia, then Stewart, then others around them. Who's doing and how are they connected to the decades old case? Woven in is belief and trusting God. I received an ARC copy from NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions are my own.
Montana Cold Case Conspiracy by Sharon Dunn was an awesome suspense book. Lila comes back to Montana to see if she can find out something about her missing father who was suspected of helping in a bank robbery 10 years ago. After being run off the road she calls for help. The sheriff shows up and it’s her childhood sweetheart Stewart whose father was killed in the same bank robbery. Join them to find out who’s behind the mystery of the disappearance of Lila’s father and the shooting of Stewart’s father. Lots of action to keep you reading.
I voluntarily received a copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher for my honest review. All words are my own.
This book mixes danger, determination, faith and romance in a way that is appealing! As a result of a robbery 10 years ago, Lila Christie leaves town, and also her fiancé and her missing father. Her fiancé, Stewart Duncan, was left with his father dying as a result of the robbery. Now returning to discover what happened to her beloved father, Lila stirs up a hornet's nest of danger everywhere she turns. Lila and Stewart, who is now a respectable sheriff, realize the danger and recognize what was between them in the past can change now that they are adults. I am grateful to the publishers for being able to read this book. The thoughts expressed above are my own.
A decade old crime brings Lila back to her hometown of Trident. Stewart, her ex-fiancé, is surprised to see her back in town. When strange occurrences begin to happen to Lila, Stewart must acknowledge it could be due to the old bank robbery which involved their fathers. Lila wants answers and the more information they discover, the more dangerous it becomes for Lila and those around her. Will they be able to finally understand what happened so long ago or will someone be able to bury the secrets along with Lila and Stewart? I enjoy and small-town story and love mysteries. This story held my interest and is one I would recommend.
Lila Christie goes back home after ten years of being away. She goes to the Lazy DN Bar Ranch to see her ex boyfriend Sheriff Stuart Duncan. Years ago there was some safety deposit boxes that were robbed at the bank. Stuart's dad was killed and Lila's dad disappeared. Lila is determined to find out what happened to her dad. When someone keeps making attempts on Lila's life Stuart tries to protect her. This is a very intense sitting on the edge of your seat suspense. Wow!!! I most definitely recommend Montana Cold Case Conspiracy.
A clean second chance romance/mystery. You're immediately thrown into the mystery involving both Lila and Stewarts fathers. As well as we find out right away that Lila and Stewart were high school sweethearts. Will Lila's showing up back in her hometown 10 years later reunite her and Stewart or just make the separation greater? So much adventure, I was sucked from the very first chapter!
Thank you to NetGalley, Love Inspired, and Sharon Dunn for allowing me this arc version in exchange for an honest review.
This is a suspenseful, second chance, fast paced book. Lila Christie and Sheriff Stewart Duncan have quite a past. When they find they must work together and he wonders if he can keep her safe. They must learn to try to understand where they other comes from and how differently their views took them. There are twist and turns in this book and all while trying to figure out a 10 year old cold case. I was given a copy of this book for my honest opinion.
I enjoyed this Love-Inspired, Second Chance, Romance. I bought this at a local Goodwill store and I've given it a 4.5* rating. Not real sure the under 18 readers should be reading this one. With a failed romance in their past, Lots of conflict pulling at these characters from the past and present, with the danger coming at them both. Plenty of action to keep pulling you in.
My thoughts: This action packed romantic suspense is a page turner with a second chance relationship and random attacks that just never stop. You will never guess who-dun-it or why. I had to keep reading to find out what happens next. Fans of romantic suspense will want to read this book. I was given a copy free and all opinions are my own.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was a good romantic suspense. Can you ever really move forward in life without facing your past? For Lila and Stewart the drive to find the truth may just save them and renew a love thought long dead, if the can survive the attempts to kill them.
Montana Cold Case Conspiracy is a well written romantic suspense. Great plot and character dynamics. I highly recommend this book. My thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for my ARC. This is my unbiased review.
This was a lovely and thrilling Christian suspense read. It was a second chance and it mixed law enforcement with ranching. I enjoyed the cold case, murder mystery angle.
I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Montana Cold Case was full of suspense and adventure and had me guessing up until the last minute. If you're looking for clean suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat this one's for you!
