Enjoyed reading this book! Highly recommend it to everyone! I appreciate how the author twist and turned the plot to keep you in suspense! Lorna and Jesse captivated my attention! Their story made me want more to read about them! I loved Lornas interaction with Jesse's children.
Jesse's protective nature towards Lorna was intriguing! I loved how Jesse ran interference for Lorna with Jack. Lorna learns men with wealth, just wanted more wealth.

Thrilling story!

This book was very satisfying. The characters were well developed. Lorna turned out to be exactly what Jesse needed in his life. Jesse was a good person but had lost his close relationship with the Lord. Lorna wanted to make a difference in the world and came to California as a teacher. As a retired first grade teacher, I was especially touched by how she taught Jesse to read. It was a wonderful book. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I thought a little more romance would have been nice.

I enjoyed it. It is a sweet story. Lorna's gentleman friend in Concord is so nice in so many ways, I was wondering why does she want to leave him! I was disappointed with that storyline. But she did leave for Sonoma, California and that is where she met hero, Jesse. I fell in love with him right from the start. He's my definition of a teddy bear.

Three stars because of the rather abrupt ending and editing errors.
