A great book for the young scientist. Easy to follow and pare down the information for young minds. I’ve read this with my 5 year old and she enjoyed learning more about archaeology and paleontology. My 7 year old has been reading on his at leisure and enjoys telling me what he’s learned. Great illustrations help young readers visualize ancient fossils and hidden cities.

A genius composition, interesting for kids and adults alike, brings the fascinating subjects of natural history, archaeology and anthropology to life and makes you excited to see what humans discover next. Love the deliberate championing of a diversity of discoverers and the careful noting of the cultural problems that have accompanied digging things up.

A nice, diverse range of archaeological discoveries and good illustrations. The text could have been more engaging. Come on, these are some of the coolest stories if narrated right.
