Apes of the Wildfire

Wow, what an awesome cover! Matches the depth and scope of the book! I want to thank the publisher and NetGalley for letting me read this deep and thoughtful book!
This book brings the plight of endangered animals, man's destruction on our forests, climate change disasters, poor immigration policy, man's violence against man, and hope.
It's about two brother orangutans that are very different. They get run out of their little family group by a big male, a new big male, they travel to find their father thinking he will help them. Little do they know that their father is worse now than the bully.
Their journey takes the reader on adventures that teach us about so many things. Animals, plants, fire, nature, drought, violence, and pain. Lastly, love is forever. This book will have the reader feeling all types of emotions. Fear, anger, pity, hate, sorrow, joy, sadness, and hope. This is NOT a children's book! Teen or higher I would suggest. There are no sex scenes but there are scenes of war.
The book from the view of the orangutans. No one knows what they are really thinking but this is a fictional book! The author doesn't go overboard with it. More common sense things. It makes the reader connect more to the brothers.
I really enjoyed the story but also the information about other animals and plants along the journey. The people in the war, the author tells the reader about them in the end of the book. They are real sets of people that fought and thousands died. They may still be fighting!
Totally recommend! Will learn so much! Will be touched so much too!

Apes of the Wildfire by Justin Morgan is a beautifully written book aboutI two brother orangutans Bili and Akan and their exiled father which is set during the devastating 1997 Asian forest fires. The clock is ticking not just for Bili and Akan and their father bit for every living species on this planet.
This book is a must to read and should be a book read in schools. I found this book an eye opener and so sad that this has and is still happening now! Apes of the Wildfires is about the ongoing fight to save endangered animals, and about our destruction of our forests, jungles etc that is being destroyed all around the world which has a Big impact on the climate change and is causing devastating disasters. Famine in so many countries and people dying of starvation and disease . Also poor immigration policies......
This book sounds so depressing but a must read by all especially the Government around the world! To understand what on earth! is going on and do something! before its too late!
