A good friend of Adm Dur brought me a copy of his book. As a young JO stationed aboard a frigate in the late 80s many of the people, places and events in Admiral Dur’s life were part of my Navy experience : Adm Boorda, Villefranche, Captain Seaquist, CDS 10, CCDG 8, a Russian Krivak and Adm Mustin. I also enjoyed his lesson in international history over the past half century. It was a wonderful read. It brought back many memories.
