The concept was super hot but it didn't deliver on its promise. I was expecting something more explicit and more poly but all the characters seemed super hesitant to do anything further and that angst and back-and-forth was frankly exhausting. And then there was the "implication" that something happened with all four of them, especially to reference in the ending to "do it again" but it is OFF PAGE. What what were we reading this for anyway?? It started off great with dynamics of paranormal relationships, dealing with love and life and death, but it didn't stick the landing.

I didn't like this book at all.

This book was obviously new adult. Somewhere I missed that information. That being said. This book had absolutely no substance. Two newly 21 year old couples explore swinger sex. They also just happen to be supernatural. Basically this was light porn.

This book didn't work for me, which is a shame as I really like other books by this author.

The whole 4 friends getting intimate so the vampire can experience the taste of other people's blood bothered me. His future wife should be the only person he wants to drink blood from.

I had an exception of the first chapter and then needed the rest. It’s a very tentative exploration of poly spice but definitely does the trick.
